Not sure how awstats work, but My Directory Rank seems to be getting popular and hit with atleast over 4K uniques per month with 9K unique hits so far for this month of november.

Naa it aint going to happen with all the -veness around directories. It demoralizing me and when i am demoralized with the entire directory scenario and people calling me trolls at times, i feel somewhat offended. But will continue posting review of directories whenever i feel like it , cause writing can be fun.

But if i see some +ve response in the entire directory regime will see what i can do about the contest. Even my partner involved with the entire project left cause he was disgusted with the entire directory business. So i am left alone, keeping the site running !! so funding is not as great as it was way before.


Plus how many directory owners whose directories got reviewed cared to even mention about the site or review on their directories? Really really really demoralizing is the reason for no such winner to be announced. I assume ur talking about http://www.pegasusdirectory.com/ , that guy gets so many hits in day, not sure how he does it.

It's even better than what forplex,aviva or alive are getting these days, i asked him so many times how he does that, but baah its his trade secret

 

There is no trade secret behind Pegasus. It is almost 2 years old and allows free links. Free links and also age has probably put it on every free directory list in the world which usually generate pretty good traffic.

I am sure it ranks for a few keywords too.

 

Yeah but thing is there are lots of other free directories too out there, even older than this one, but why do they not pick up like this one does ? Maybe the articles listed are generating traffic for it. Alexa rank of 43 K is not easy to achieve.
