Your submit page took around 35 seconds to load so maybe go with a better host? I am on a cable modem.

 

Yes thats one thing that can put many people off, they get impatient and click out, i think if it takes longer than something like 4 seconds you can lose a large amount from visitors.

 

Same as above plus when the submission page finally loaded the ammount of text is a bit overwhelming try to make keep it a bit more simple.

Lol, you really do need to do something about the time it takes to load. I didn't make it past the home page..

Noone see your directory. Traffic close to NULL.
Homepage pr=1

People submits to high pr or high traffic directories.
You must work harder to promote directory and change the host!

 

PR doesn't always mean more traffic one of my bid directories pr 1 recieves more submission than my others with higher PR.

 

Didn't say PR means more traffic.
Same is with traffic -> not necessary high PR.

But there must be something submitter is willing to submit.
Mostly this is PR and/or traffic.
Can be one of mentioned, but of course best are both.

Well it is not just the first page that loads slowly. That is a big problem also add some unique content. Give visitors a reason to actually visit your site.

 

A custom template will also help you with the submissions, in addition to the other comments above. Also submit this directory to other bid directories and web directories, promotion always helps.

 

how much are you spending in your promotion? if i may ask

Yes. Hosting is a big problem now. I've just begun to notice that for my proxy sites. Earlier I dint hav a problem with those using cheap hosting

 

Someone asked me why i dont use free hosting and save money...

That might be ok for 1 website if its just something i wanted to toss up on the web,
but when its a business you have to try and make sure that the site is always fast
to where clients wont get discouraged when submitting or possibly purchasing items.
