Sean, the point is to do what you love and enjoy.

In this way it doesn't get boring. Think about things you like and you would do for free, just for fun... Then you can build your online business based on it.

    Thanks,
    PV Reymond

    Sean,

Making your living strictly from the internet can be a very isolating and lonely existence as full-timers can attest. I hope you spend time everyday to get out into the real world and socialize with your friends. At only 18 years of age, why aren't you going to college? A college education will enrich your life in so many ways. Later in life you will be glad for it instead of the other way around....you don't won't be be at 50 saying you wished you had gone to college when you were young. You can still do the internet thing part time while going to school, ya know.

When you reach your goal of making 5k a month, what are you going to do with your life then? Guess that's the 64 thousand dollar question. What do you want to do with your life? Please, not make money and that's it. If every human exist only to make money, greed would have destroyed the human race long ago. Hope you have loftier goals.

Please excuse me if I'm sounding preachy, I didn't really mean to. I just hate to see someone pass up on an opportunity to better their life only to regret it later in life when it may be much more difficult to engage that opportunity again.

    All the best to you.

You should spend less time overall in front of a computer and enjoy life :)

Thank you for taking the time to write that all out Ken!

I just don't think its right for me to go to college though
    for many reasons.

I have to spend more time in comp to make the money
to enjoy life! Without money..you really can't enjoy life to
fullest because of the place we live in...

Yeah I know I should do what I love and I guess sometime
I really don't know what I love to do.

One moment I'm excited about this and that...and the next,
    I'm bore of it.

I just need to get a life offline and need to meet people. I
barely speak to anyone, even family members. Alway online
    isn't good for health eh?

I feel the same way sometimes, not the bored part, but that it is really hard. Harder than I expected.

When in doubt, trust education..You still are in the age where you can study..I perfectly agree that you don't need an education to make money. But it's the best backup you can ever have.

Bear for a couple of more years and finish off your college, and you can live life the way you want..And you can always fall back on a trusted job (that comes with a degree) if ever you fail to impress yourself in your online venture..

Dedication is key. I started and finished my first website project in 2 months and made more than enough to buy a nice car for myself. Key is dedication. Constantly update content and keep advertising.

Remotay, feel like giving an insight? :D

I know that's what everyone asks but I can say I've been in this online marketing + adsense business for over a year now (with some breaks) and made slightly over $200. Because of this I feel really disheartened which for me is the fact that discourages me to take over long term projects such as starting a complex website from scratch - and I admit it's where the vicious cycle is taking place.
Today I have an idea and feel good about it then the next moment I look into figures a bit more + read some articles on the internet related to what I planned on doing and then I realize it's not that good afterall.

Hmmm Only $200 over a year!? You must be doing something wrong here.

I think you should just pick an idea and run with it...if it fail, then try another.

Making that much over a year is not good at all :confused:

I know :(. My main focus was my blog in the sig at the moment but I kind of picked it up and dropped it every now and then as you can see from the dates of my posts. I did lots of link building at first and I have quite good SEO rankings for some terms but I don't know what's gone wrong and it's what annoys me that I've invested so much time and such a low reward at first. I know the key to success is even more hard work but it seems so hard to pick it up when you don't have a success guarantee.

Here's the missing puzzle, MONEY. It takes money to make money online. It takes outsourcing to expand your income stream. It takes money to make big money.

My opinion, Stay away from blogs. Do something else. Tons of popular niches out there. niche wallpaper sites, even turnkey myspace sites perform well if you market them correctly.
