I do see traffic coming from DP, although I am not sure if it is from my signatures, signatures that I rent ot the postings

I've gotten over 60 people on my list in a single day with only about 4 post. It was a really, REALLY, REALLY popular forum though.

Forum posting as worked great for me. Traffic to my site has skyrocketed since I discovered forums. I am very active in forums, I leave comments, welcome new members, ask questions, etc...

At this point, on this forum, I am still unable to leave my forum sig, but I do sign each and every message that I leave and I am still recieving great traffic from this site as well.

I use my signature whenever I send anything, e-mail, text messages, etc....every bit helps.

    Good Luck

It would be targeted traffic and it works. Not very well, but it does get some visitors.

If you are posting in a forum that is related to your niche and you have an eye catching tagline, you will not only get traffic but targeted traffic that will convert well.

It does help posting in forums as long as you don't spam. I would say there are better ways of getting traffic though if you don't want to do the work with posting. I only really post because I enjoy it and also like to keep up to date with the webmaster stuff.

I think a signature file is similar to a resource box in an article. You need the content of your post to be helpful and the signature anchor text line to be compelling. Just doing a drive-by post to get a signature in is obvious to people.

Yes, forum posting works well. It is where you get targeted audience all congregated in one place. This kind of audience is more responsive. This is also where I get lots of subscribers for my free report as well as find my top earning affiliate program. See my signature.

If you're helpfull you don't even really need a signature, people will take the time to look for a "visit this posters website" button or link.
