If you didn't know: I pretty make my online living from Article Marketing promoting affiliate product or my own. I am alway learning new things everyday from what I observe in my quest. I began over 2 wks ago and is having great success. I like to share with you what I found work and new things I observe: Getting More Views I have notice that some of my articles on Ezinesarticle get a WHOLE lot more views than many of my other article. Upon examining them, I notice 2 things that get more views: 1. Have a title with one powerful benefit (in fact, a hyped title is best) 2. Inlude many similar words in your niche. I notice that when I inlude words that relate to my main word, I get way more views. For example, I write an article on weight loss...instead of just mentioning the word weight loss, I mention fat, big, foods, diet, fruit, food, vegetable, muscle, meat, slim, body, etc.... you get the idea. I will be posting more on this thread as I continue writing articles so if any is doing ARticle Marketing, you might find it helpful.
Good tips, I've found article marketing is a very effective weapon for SEO and I can rank in keywords using it in combination with other easy methods like social bookmarking.
How Many Articles Should You Write a Day? This is hard to answer because there can be many answer to this. 1. I recommend you write 5-10 average articles per day if you want to make really fast money. If this is something that get you bore, then write less because you want to be writing everyday or week, not just a bunch at a time, then none for a long time. 2. Write 1 quality articles per day and submit to Ezinearticles. You want to really write in a way that get them to buy and click... You can do this by doing a short preview of your product after giving them some info that make them "drool." The important thing here is to be writing consistently and not on and off if you want to make this work. It can take as long as 30 days to start seeing result or as little as 7 days... depending on how you work.
I like the idea of article marketing, since I write and it's pretty much the only thing Im good at, lol. The results really are varied though; some of mine have over 300 clicks in a short time, others have 0 in the same amount of time.
Hi sean, Nice post. I havn't tried article writing before and am interested to hear how you convert your article writing to affiliate cash. Is this typically to submit articles to obtain backlinks to one of your own sites where you have a landing page for the affiliate prodect, to gain SEO benifits and natural traffic, or do you include the affiliate link directly in the article. (or am I completley of the mark with this area).
Thanks for the informative thead Just a few questions: How many articles per product do you submit. Also should we submit the same article to multiple directories?
Hahaha I agree with you here. You don't alway make money everyday consistently but I really believe that once you try it for 2-3 months... the result become a little more predictable since you got a lot of articles out there that are earning you money and bringing you traffic. I REALLY think you should link directly to a landing page, then collect their email. I have found and observe that the conversion rate is VERY low if you link directly to sale page. Collect their email and learn a little about email marketing, then convert them into sales. I'm still learning email marketing...which is something I don't like very much. I recommend you buy a domain name because it can come in handy when you are testing.
Should I Link Directly To Sale Page or Landing Page? I highly recommend you linking to a "squeeze page" or "landing page" if possible because I have notice that the conversion is VERY low when you send them directly to sale page. If you want to link to sale page...then expect to write lots of articles (10-20 per day) to get result ($20-50 per day). Remember to build your landing page nicely and learn a little about email marketing because it WILL pay off big time. You can also make money from your list in the future! Awesome
How Many Articles Should I Write Per Product I Promote? I recommend you write around 50-100 per product you promote and submit to the top 10 article directories only because that will get a lot of sales within usually 7 days after your articles goes live. I recommend you write 5 articles per day for one product. If you're promoting 3-5 products at once, then write 2-3 for each one each day. You CAN make a nice income from this for all your work!
What Are The Top Article Directories You Use and Recommend? The article directories that I use right now is below. I didn't feel like writing out all those name, then linking to them...so know that they all end in .com I recommend you submit to only Ezinearticles most of the time.
Small Tweak Can Get You Lots More Sales Did you know that your converstion rate and CTR on your article can dramatically increase by the way you write your articles? Here is what I found that you can do today to your articles to get a little more clicks on those links: 1. Be personal: Talk to your reader personal using me,I, and you. 2. Do a short pre sell at the send of your product you're promotingz after you have given out some tips. 3. Use incentive and gives lots of benefits in your resource box. 4. Use BOLDING. Using boldness on certain words will make it easier for them to read and they will more likely read all the way to the bottom where your links is. Remember that it is important to do split testing when writing articles to see what works best. Alway be testing, testing, and testing!

A good title is the important factor in getting large numbers of page views. I recently wrote a very short article with a limited amount of information on a sexy topic with a good title ("Persuasive Words That Attract Buyers" or something like that). This article had over 600 page views in just a few days, even though the article was not one of my best. jomark3
