The book is down to $9.95, must be struggling for sales, has anyone actually read it? For that price it might be worth a look, maybe old news now!!!

 

I'm pretty sure the term "Rich Jerk" is pretty common before he came along.

Oh just as a warning to all of you. I have copyrighted the word "the", any use of this word i an infringement on my copyright and must pay royalties to me, please PM me if you wish to use this word on your website.

 

This is a problem. My whole website is ruined now! I don't think I have to pay for using it before.. how much are royalties fees... I also kept using it numerous of times in my past conversations in forums and all around. Do I need to edit my posts?

EDIT: Just applied for an exception and an exclusion right via YRTFUAWYW authority, and won an exception I can say THE word anytime I want now! the the the.....lol

Guess what, if he had the power and any legal assistance you would be shut down already. This guy is so full of it makes me laugh. If I were you, I would not give this a second thought. He may have trademarked "Rich Jerk" however not "The Rich Jerk" . He cliams to have coined the phrase "Rich Jerk",the same way Paris Hilton coined the phrase "That's Hot" .He does not own the right to using the phrase Rich Jerk or The Rich Jerk or any other use of the phrase.

This is does not fall under the AnitCyberSquatting Consumer Protection Act.

If he threatens legal action tell him this. Instead of using an attorney to shut me down or to take this website, why don't you simply pay me what you would pay in Attorney fees and I will happily turn it over,it should be about $10,000.00. This will call his bluff right away. If he continues to send you threatening emails without taking legal action this is a form of harrassment and you can SUE him or them whoever they claim to be.

Hehee... don't worry pal I've got even better idea. I got this site call adidasdeals and guess what adidas didn't bother to sue me. according to their trademark "adidas" with small letter "a" is trademark for adidas. So what I do I make my adidas as ADIDASDEALS. No threat from them.

 

You own the domain. He is not protected under any cyber squatting laws I've seen. So too damned bad for him. Pull as much publicity from this as you can, and enjoy the ride.

You should never have caved in. Unless you are actually served by a process server you should never back down even if you don't care to fight back, though you would win the case.

There is no way that your domain name could ever be confused with richjerk.com and so there is no trademark infringement, nor is there any trademark dilution, the only two possible actionable scenarios. Besides, both words rich and jerk are common so it is hard to enforce trademark rights anyway.

Hell, I'll buy richjerkscams.com from you and thumb my nose at Kelly Felix and dare him to sue. I own more than one island, let him try to intimidate ME! Fat chance!

f the selfish rich jerk. these guru are all about themselves. they play like they care about others but they don't. they get nasty with people with their big egos... imo put together a press release and put the issue before the general public. i am sure the average consumer is tired of these bs guru f--king people over. trademark or no trademark ... the public opinions can decide where the line should be drawn. how many people gained from this so called rich jerk? let those who lost their money have a say... personally, i am sick of these so called gurus lining their pocket without delivering...
