Opinions on Subscribing to Link Exchange Services

All my "competitors" on the first page of the Google SERPS subscribe to services such as http://www.gotop.com/ and http://reciprocalmanager.com/. I'm stuck on page 2.

I thought that using these link exchanges got you buried on Google, but apparently not. I'm thinking of joining the bandwagon.

    Any feelings on this?

I wouldnt subscribe to any of these, id rather go after quality links that are related to my site coming from other quality sites. In my opinion its something that anyone could do, and its not about how good your site is, its just about if you subscribe and get a load of random links. I doubt it does much good at all in my opinion.

It definitely does good. SERP position #'s 1, 2, and 3 for my keywords each use these services.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if that were a coincidence and they were ranking well for some other reason.

I rank in the top 3 on Google for a very competitive and high search volume keyword, a portion of my links are exchanges. They are listed on my link: search operator as well. To say link exchanges are useless is rather not true.

LE services is no good as what Google Link Scheme is up to...Avoid them you should do the manual way but don't do it in excessive....

Instead you can build your link by getting one way links....:p
