I'm not, but I was interested to know... Who here is in the porn website industry? Are you making good $$$?
I've got a semi-adult site, but it only brings in a few bucks a month... It has 0 backlinks... Literally, 0... I guess I should work on that...
You would think porn would always be making money, this should be in the sites > adult section as not everyone distribues porn lol
the adult industry or porn sites as you say does very well for me - pays for my dedicated servers and alot of my household bills - in the past when I was single i was able to survive on my sites income and hopefully someday soon i can return to that status..
I would have thought the porn industry is pretty saturated. Would be interesting to see how many people are in it and making a good income from it.
what people do not realize is you do have to take your profits the first few months and roll it back into your site, spend it on advertising and even then you have to spend it on smart advertising.. Continue to grow the site and update it just like anything else and keep it with what you are trying to promote, don't promote xx1 if your site has xx2 -- just like any normal SFW site you may run...
Congrats on the success, without disclosing too much information, mind telling us the site's main source of revenue? Advertising? Affiliate links? Thanks...
well my current niche is videos - i have tried a little of everything running a tgp/mpg/stories etc but the videos has always been a favorite of mine and something i seem to be pretty good at running... The main source of revenue is usually PPC programs, sites like Adengage/Avnads/Etology always do well for me and also affiliate programs, you just need to keep trying them and find the ones that are converting at the time, like someone said above - there are times one program or site may get over saturated in the market, so as a webmaster you get rid of it and try and find the next hot thing, its very much like how mainstream sites are ran just with adult content..
yes I use alot of affiliates who pay anywhere from 25$ - 110$ per signup, but Revshare is always the way to go if you have the option
