This is the stand of a priest. "You are wrong, because you fail to understand the truth."

The stand of a truthseeker is:

If scientists say it's true and you don't understand it, they aren't necessarily right or wrong. Nor are you. Only investigation, with an open mind, will discover the truth of the matter.

Some people say the greatest trick the devil ever did was convince people he didn't exist, when in reality it was god who created the greatest trick in making people think he exists :D

I do like Voltaire: "if god did not exist, it would be necessary to invent him."

That said, I don't know one way or the other, since I can't categorically grab, and can't categorically deny, something I can't see. My conclusions based on the search so far say, "nope. We're alone."

Science is terrible isn't it..

If you don't understand something that a scientist says, you aren't allowed to say he is wrong.

Ah, but that's not what you said, is it old chum? You said:

An utterly different thing. "You don't understand=they are right" doesn't equate to "you don't understand, and therefore, you cannot declare them wrong." True to form, what you said in your initial post was the declaration of a priest of faith. Your second post, after the fact (of my pointing your illogic out), moves closer to a valid position.

No, that leaves God as an entity which humans can't fully understand. Hence all the unbelievers.

Or, just worded it according to what you mean. As the two concepts are fundamentally different - and seeing the difference doesn't require pedantry, merely a modicum of clearmindedness - by most accounts, you see, language matters; it is the principal way we reach each other, mind to mind. Unless, of course, like your other religious pursuits, you would like us all to remain readers of your mind. As it's dark in there, I'll forego the journey, thanks.

Your pursuing of the usual - altering your post with "yeah, but this is what I meant to say," after the fact - just doesn't fly. You look ridiculous.

In sense, there is more theoretical proof in evolution than divine creation, in fact there is NO proof of divine creation what so ever. I dare you or anyone to provide one bit of proof. Don't try that look at the birds or the trees and thats proof enough crap.

You edited that post! Your naughty!

I disagree with the fact there is a god, I truly believe in evolution, big bang, the whole nine yards. You do realize religion has been the source of almost all wars, genocide and massacres in history

Oh, we're in agreement, then. I'm an evolutionist, and an atheist (see http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showpost.php?p=3755924&postcount=3, for example). If I have come to these views, however, my issue is with Stox's religious myopia when it comes to everyone's opinion but his own. I find his intractability and intellectual dishonesty a boatload of crap, to put it quite bluntly. But you'd have to dive into a whole boatload of crap yourself to see the history I'm speaking to. Save your time - it isn't worth it.

Believing the world came about by evolution is like saying a watch had no maker.
