I was banned 2 years ago.

About 2 years ago now I had Adsense up and running on one of my websites. I was new to adsense, so I asked one of my friends to click an ad so I could see how much I would make. Well, being the idiot he is, he clicked it 1000 times with an automatic bot. Before I could do anything, I was banned from Adsense.

Well, now, 2 years later I decided to send an email to their appeal website asking to be re-instated. I hope they allow me to use their program as I see WidgetBucks is becoming less reliable and Adsense is better.

    I shouldn't be cruel but... :D

I presume he stopped being your friend after that.

Best of luck in getting back onto adsense.

I'm just telling you the reality, I've never heard of any year+ bans being appealed successfully.

I've heard of people just re-opening accounts with the same information. They get put under more scrutiny, but the accounts open...
If all else fails, use your friends name/info. He owes you, after all.

Yes, after that I told him to fuck off basically. He was more like a last resort chat buddy anyway, he was annoying and I never really liked talking to him.

I hope they do let me use their service again. I wish I would have known about the appeal site 2 years ago haha. I sent them an email when I was first banned but I never got a reply.

Ohh and I don't remember his name. He lived in the Netherlands.

And I tried re opening an account 4 months ago, but it said that I was associated with a previously banned account, so I wasn't allowed.

Haha, yea. He was in to that kind of stuff though, he was also always trying to find people's passwords and such.

The thing is, honestly, I don't think I ever clicked my own ad. I might have 1 time, in the beginning, just to see if it worked.

Eh I've clicked my own ads without an issue. A few times actually, by accident, or testing things out. No problems.

I know this will sound mean to many but I feel once your are banned for a legitimate reason they should never let you back in. You had someone click one your ads which is against the rules and click fraud. They should not allow you back in for that reason. Being an adwords user as well it takes away from companies and is a form of stealing.

While it wasn't right for me to ask him to click an ad, I was ONLY doing it to see how much I would make per click. Instead, he unleashed a click bot on my ad, which got me banned.

It was not stealing though, your missing the point.

I told him to click it, not ever doing it for the money. I was doing it to see how much I would make per click. 1 click wouldn't make a difference.

Anyway, I saw that too casawi, it was on these fourms.
