As a quick aside, would I be right in thinking that you can't do chargeback with MB? So it's basically a scammer's paradise.

Shit.. the worst is that you can not even place a chargeback on MB.
Just report it to any mod and they will surely take care of the rest.

I once dealt with this member ( though only for $7-$10 ) and I had no probs with him. Maybe he is just offline as most of us are in different time zones. Drop him a PM and wait for a reply !!

Sorry to hear that.. the post is a bit strange for someone asking a big amount of money. There are no details whatsoever, but with an itrader like that I would fall for it too. Hope you can work it out.

if you have solid proof that someone is scamming by means of a clone account or something like that then the mods will act.

being scammed is not a license to be stupid.
