Yes I found this site that has a very great list of Social marketing websites. I've joined about everyone. Submitted my blog, and blog posts. I feel so tired. I submitted to a lot of RSS feeds.

If anyone else want links to the sites I've joined :) Have fun guys, its worth it is all I got to say.

It would probably make you more tired when i say it takes me about 30 seconds to submit a URL to 3 times as many sites. Oh, and i make a coffee while im doing it :D

I gues you give it to someone else to do :D.
Is ith an automated service? If so, what do you do for the description/explanation bit? That alone should take you about 10 seconds, unless you're just taking the first few lines from your article.
If not, then how'd you do that?

they dont do a very good job though and its better not to have 100 of the same descriptions in various directories........

I have honestly found that directory submissions are over rated.
I submitted to several hundred, manually, good PR ones....and I barely noticed an improvement in my Serps.....

but then I managed to gain some organic high PR links on relevant sites....and I hopped up to the bottom of P1 for my competitive main search terms :) (from top of P3)

People do manual submissions and so you can tell them different descriptions, keywords etc.

The reason you are 'doing' SEO is to make your site optimized, get more visitors and make money.

So yeah basically its a job.

Yes it all takes time, and alot of trial and error. Over time you will learn how to automate the menial tasks, and how well different tactics work for your niche.. And from there work out where and how to dedicate your time to bring the largest returns for the smallest amount of work and money.

For what you are doing, there's a software called "Social Bookmarking Demon" that will automatically create accounts and submit your URL to all the major Social Bookmarking sites. It also alternates your Titles to avoid duplicate problems.

Or if you have a Blog, there's "Auto Social Poster" plugin that will do like the above and automatically submit your entry when you publish it to your blog.

    Good luck.

Many thanks for that info, did you pay for Social Bookmarking Demon? I found it on google and they are asking quite a bit for it. Is it worth the investment? Is there a free version flying around?

Yes i bought it. Is it worth it? Well it depends on what your time is worth, and how much bookmarking you do.

If you submit the odd social bookmark every few weeks, and have alot of time on your hands i'd say no. Otherwise yes the $97 is well worth it, i do SEO and run a stack of sites so to me it's a very valuable tool and has paid for itself a number of times over.

It was slightly confusing to setup, but once all the accounts are registered it's a piece of cake. You just paste the URL, Title and Description and click Randomize for each of these if you wish and click Add URL... Walk away, come back and your done.

So as i said, for me it was well worth it. I guess you could offer social bookmarking services and have it pay for itself that way.

You actually posted them manually? Sigh, there is always a way to do these things easily you know! Google is your friend, Search brother! There are many automation software's on the net. Get some of those.

Also, for traffic for proxies and site's like that, these traffic are no good. Except perhaps Digg.

Thanks very much for this mate, answered what I was after perfectly. In all honesty I have not used social bookmarking as a tool to promote my websites at all! However I really think my mario mayhem (link in sig) site would do really well with some social book marking promotion. I wouldn't be keen forking out $97 for the product, but I wouldn't want to do it all manually either, might be time for me to head over to the sales forum if I decide to social bookmark :p

    Thanks again mate.
