Hi everyone, wondering if someone can help my analyse my stats Clicks 64 Impressions 1,966 CTR 3.26% Avg. CPM $7.66 Avg. CPC $0.24 are these good or not? I am trying to obtain new members at my forum site and I thought I would have a go at using adwords to see If I can get some new members.
you don't say what you have set as the bid for your keywords. i believe you need that information to compare to your costs per click.
Hey there, sorry about that, Im not really understanding the bidding on amount per click. Im a bit confused as when I was setting that up, Im sure It said that is how much my keyword would cost. Now when I look at the keyword tab, its telling me that my Keyword Quality score is "Great" and that max bid is only 05c.. why then did it tell me earlier that my particular keyword was close to 60c so yes 60c is what I bid there.
No sign ups so far......LOL but Im hoping someone bookmarked me and will come to signup later... ( I can wish...hehe) What is a ppc for a forum?
Im not sure using adwords for a forum would be the best advertising method... If its a new forum, I would try and get some posters first (either finding people who would do it for free, or pay for it).
Its not a new forum Im just wanting to get some more traffic thus new members. Ive recently had trouble with google search rankings and thought Adwords may help me to get more traffic coming to the site.
Hey there, Yes I opted to put in a certain amount of $$ and give it an upper limit per day that I want to spend... Im going to give it a week and see how it goes. I do like being right up the top of google search though.......hehe....
yellowfox, I'd recommend you go here: http://www.google.com/adwords/learningcenter/index.html Pause your campaign, take a day or two, grab a few cups of coffee, and start reading or watching. You'll get the basics, then go back to your adwords account and you'll see everything differently. The problem with adwords is that if you go into it "blind" then you are essentially paying to learn from your mistakes. If read as much as you can before hand, then you can avoid some of those mistakes that can cost you a ton of cash, will end up leaving a bad taste in your mouth, and may prevent you from ever using the program again. If you need help pm me.
Nice link, I think anyone new to adwords would be well off to look through those links if they had any questions. John
