At this moment I don't any plan upgrade to vista, because I still can work with XP. Beside security issues, incompatible programs, upgrade to vista is cost lot of money, because you should upgrade your pc if you want vista working smoothly. The question is how much you must spend your money if you own several PCs.
I like Vista, but prefer XP, as I used to it. I suppose many of us will use Vista one day, as Microsoft will stop support XP. It's like win 98 has no support now.
There are two views....Vista is really nice...or should I say it will be nice. Stay with XP for now until pain in the but kinks get knocked out of Vista. But its security features might be more trusted and flexible... So...I am confused.....to go for it or not..... Narender Pal Singh
Most windows users are accustomed to using XP so moving towards Vista will be a slow process. Even the computer manufacturers are allowing XP as an option again when just a little while ago they were only offering Vista on new PC's. Joe
I'm still using XP, not considering upgrading to Vista anytime soon. But planning to use Ubuntu soon on a secondary PC...
I AM SORRY I MUST DISAGREE... Linux Ubuntu NO SECURITY ISSUES TO WORRY ABOUT.. I OFTEN WONDERED WHY MY HDD LIGHT ON MY XP BOX @ IDLE NO PROCESSES RUNNING WAS BLINKING SOOOO MUCH UBUNTU NEVER. LATEST UBUNTU GIVES MUCH MORE THAN VISTA.. i LIKE THE UNLIMITED WORK SPACES YOU CAN CREATE... TOTALLY AWESOME.
If by safer you mean it asks you every 10 seconds to cancel or allow something, then yeah, it's much safer . One of the "Pros" for Vista in CNet's review was "fewer system crashes". And I'm thinking.. since when are CRASHES listed as a PRO?
well I never liked either of them :-p, XP had its problem and Vista carries on the legacy......the most stable version of the Windows was Windows98. I never really tried a Linux on my PC but then I do have a MotoMing which has a Linux Base :-p, and it rocks
