Genre: Halo 3 Forums, Tournaments and Videos.
Purpose of site: The purpose of this site is to allow videogame players to competitively and to discuss their favorite multiplayer shooter. Halo 3 has been very successful, and so has this site. This site has halo 3 related discussions and tournaments. We also have weekly contests, such as snipe of the week, and also the clip of the week. We have tournaments every weekend, which have been major hits.

Are the forums Licensed?
Yes. But, they do not come with this sale.

Why am I selling?
I don't have the time or money to keep the site running. In order to do so, I have to get rid of the site. It has grown tremendously in 1.5 months, and it saddens me to see it leave so soon.

Will I help the new owner?
Yes, I will tell the new owner manage the site. I will also tell him all the ideas I had planned and how to mange every aspect of the site. I will also tell him where to advertise and promote, how to post and get people for the tournaments.

Revenue Details
Tournaments: We have ran one paid tournament in the pass and it was a complete success. In our paid tournaments we usually give out 90% to the top 3 teams, and keep 10% to the site. But as a new owner, you can determine what percents you want to give and keep.
Google Adsense/YPN: Something, I experimented with, but didn't fully implement it like what I've done in the past. I used to own www.hgtourneys.com and have made $4 a day from adsense. If you visit the forums, you will see it but nothing advanced. Currently I have made minimal money from adsense. I have made $9.11 off of adsense, it has great potential, I was just experimenting and made a good amount.

Technology/Script
I had a tournament script made by Xuxa. This script allows a user to pay for a tournament and automatically be displayed on a specified page. The script will be thrown in FREE.

Front End: The front end is a simple form, which is customizable from the backend. It has fields such as name, gamertag, email, aim, etc.

Back End: Allows for you to specify the cost of the tournament, the date, the number of opens, and the size of the teams.

Functionality: The script functions using paypal. All payments are processed and handled through paypal. The script checks paypal's database, and then returns a value which is then submitted to a database on our site. Once approved the team is then listed on the success page.

What do you mean it doesn't come with the License. Do you lease the license from Vbulletin? Can you explain strait to me? what kind fo tournament is it? I don't really understand and how much is the prize that you pay to the winner. Bid will begin after you answer my question.

 

How do you justify the bin. No offense but it's a forum with a low member count. The script you are running is from bungie.com isn't it ? But on the forum license how come it doesn't come with th license? Aren't there some better skins that match the halo3 xbox gaming etc... Just my thoughts. Who is Xuxa ?
I never heard of them but I do know that bungie has released source code for something like this.

Yes, I lease the license from vBulletin. If you want the license I can throw it in for an extra cost, or we can negotiate. We run a variety of tournaments including FFA (Free for All), 1v1, 2v2, and 4v4 tournaments. All the tournaments are posted on the forums, and the users register for each tournament on the forums.

We only give out cash prizes to cash tournaments, meaning that cash prizes are only given out to tournaments where there is an entry fee. The money collected from the entry fees goes into the price pot. In which 90% of the pot is divided to the top 3 winners and 10% goes to the website. The amount awarded to the winners all depends on the turnout of the tournaments.

The bin comes from 3 months revenue, and my experience with running tournament websites. I have ran 2 VERY successful tournament websites in the past, that have made be over $200-$300 a month. The forum is only 1.5 months old, and is growing rapidly.

What script are you referring to?

I can negotiate to include the forum license or I can throw it in for an extra cost. Its a leased license. Yes, there are better skins.. but when I started the site I was low on funds, so I used what I had in possession. Xuxa is the person who coded the tournament script, he is a member of TalkFreeLance.
