Hi DP, i just want to ask, how many PR3 anchor link do we need to produce a PR3 blog/site ? i heard that in order to have a PR3, 18 PR3 must link to that solo blog/site ... need clarification plzzz
Hey Kerunai, I'm not sure that it's as simple as that as each link has a certain quality associated with it and it depends on the relation of the content to your site ...I believe ... I could be guessing. I think that you may have more luck in getting this question answered in the Google section ...BTW is that a big juicy cheque you're holding in your avatar? How much was it for? (I'm obsessed with figures!) Cheers, p.
I don't think there is an exact number, especially now with the latest PR shakeup happening. Just focus on getting as many natural backlinks as you can -- PR will follow.
Well, PR has always been a mystery. One of my site is PR3 with only 17 backlinks in google, and I think none of them is above PR4
I have a PR4 site with only 7 backlinks - don't ask me how, as none of the sites linking to me have a PR over 2.
Well, it depends on quality of backlinks. For example if you have a backlink from PR7 site with 20 more outbound backlinks you will not get much juice. So nobody except google knows
to be honest... i have no idea how the PR works... my blog barelly has 10 backlinks (acording to google) and i got pr2... i do no promotion at all... it's my little experiment... yes i'll like to earn some cash on it; but i read that 100% organic is the way to go... so i put myself a goal for june 2008 to get at least 200 uniques purelly organic. (link is on my signature)
To be honest, guys, I wouldn't worry too much about visible PageRank. I'm not sure it's going to be around for too much longer anyway...
I think that you might have looked herer http://checkpagerank.net/linkpack Buddy thats not completly true . You need to get some relevent links to your site to get a decent PR and for my blog becoming PR 3 I had to get around 1300 links including several PR 5 and 6 but as I was thinking of PR 4 I did not get PR 4 but got pR 3 so There is no idea how a PR goes but still you need to get more and more links.
There is no magical formula. It depends on the existing PR, and the OBL's of the site which links to you.
Because of all the recent changes with TBPR. I think that Google created a monster and are now looking to kill it. The important thing is to get relevant links from your niche regardless of PR.
thanks all, i'm guessing that i will need more than 18 PR3 with relevant anchor text + niche ...i need to do some extensive test to determine this, but i guess the PR thing is still a mystery...hmm
