Miss out entirely??? And lose in the playoffs???

Listen up bud, the only team that even has a chance at beating the Pats is the Colts, and with the Patriots about to get home field advantage in the next few weeks thats looking tough.

I dont know what team you think can beat the Patriots in the SuperBowl. Green Bay? Dallas?

He's a GB groupie  complete with Favre jersey and over-sized coffee mug :p

I'm just pissed the Giants get to play NE the last week of the season when in all likelihood seating will already have been determined.

Well yes the seeding will be determined because NE already had that determined in the beginning of the year, and the Giants lost 2 early games. What I am thinking is, if Belichik will be stupid enough to play his starters to go 16-0.

its regular season, you always play your starters until you have a comfortable lead, then pull key players
    nothing stupid about that.
    and 16-0 sounds good :D

I mis-red it. Sorry! ok, them not making the SB 30:1
(going against my own initial bitch) of course he'll use the starters. the starters will play right up until the 9min mark in the 4th no matter if the score is 35-7 or 66-0

Well if you ask me, if they have home field advantage by that game, they should just sit Tom Brady out. Yes, 16-0 sounds great and I would really like to see that, but the ultimate goal is to win the SuperBowl and if one of your key players gets injured in the final game of the season right before the playoffs...they would be screwed.

but based on what we've seen thus far I am not inclined in the least bit to say that TB will sit should it come down to 16-0.

BB wants everyone fresh, sharp as a tack, etc. He's probably pissed they're going to get a bye week ;)

What do people think of the Detroit Lions start? Fluke or do we think they are actually pretty good? Played really well the last three weeks, that's for sure. Ever since Kevin Jones came back, they've been a different team.

I am trying to figure out the Lions two losses, they were blown out by Washington and Philadelphia early on. These are not great teams. The wins make sense and indicate the Lions are a playoff team. Winning the NFC North and a playoff game wouldn't be a fluke at this point. Two or more playoff wins, that would be a fantastic fluke.

you probably have a better feel than I, I think they are for real, they are finally realizing the 17 first round draft picks on offense or what?

The Lions traditionally don't play very well against Philadelphia and they have never, as a franchise, ever, won in Washington. 0-21, which is pretty remarkable. The Lions have the most turnovers caused in the league, which for a team where the offense was supposed to be the strong suit is pretty good. But we have a really tough schedule coming up with the Giants, Dallas, two games against Green Bay, at San Diego. This week at Arizona is a big game to get with those tough games coming up.

BTW, speaking of the Lions first round draft picks, you guys see that Mike Williams got cut last week from Oakland? Not even his old offensive coach from USC could save him. I heard he had a tryout with the Titans, where Norm Chow is...At this point though, I don't think he's ever going to make it.

Well of course it's just the Jets, but I know BB wants to get revenge on Mangini for snitching on him. It's gonna be brutal :p.

I don't feel so good right now. They don't have three losses, they have three bad losses. I am not sure how things will go but we might get to the pinnacle of a first round loss.

Any ways, at least one of my favorite teams (whoever is playing Thuh Ohio State University) won.

Well, we learned about the Lions today. That was a brutal performance against Arizona. Granted, every other NFC Wildcard contender (The Giants, Redskins, Panthers, and Saints) all lost, so the Lions didn't lose any ground (they would still make the playoffs if they started today) it was ugly today. Two games in the next 11 days against the Giants and Packers will define this season for Detroit.
