I have 3 warnings over bumping threads - I have asked admin 3 times by email what they are and how to avoid them - please can somone help? David
- Bumping thread - Bumping is when you reply to your own thread with the sole purpose of bumping it to the top of the forum. Also, a worthless reply to old threads can also be considered bumping. source ---->>http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=216611 Hope that helps
Creating a post in a thread with the purpose to "bump" it to the top of the thread list for that forum to gain visibility. For example, let's say you create a thread in Buy/Sell/Trade... it gets buried because no one responds to it, so you post a in that thread asking if anyone is interested yet.
From the thread posted about infractions, I thought I share with everyone my thoughts. - Duplicate thread - If you create a thread about a subject that is already being discussed in another thread, you may receive an infraction. If the posts are pages apart, I think it's quite hard to go through all of the threads before posting isn't it? Or on a different topic someone mentions the same thing IE General marketing or General business, wouldn't be tough to avoid this one way or the other? - Bumping thread - Bumping is when you reply to your own thread with the sole purpose of bumping it to the top of the forum. Also, a worthless reply to old threads can also be considered bumping. This is something that caused me an infraction recently, I did the same as the guy above me has taken the service that's similar. I am not sure by telling others that I'm watchful to see my own result of the service is bumping of the thread? I just think we should all kinda get a pretty good idea of the game rules so we know them more specifically before getting hammered.
