Newbie's doubt on social bookmarking sites

Hi,
I have a website which I regularly update. My doubt is, when I submit a new post, can I digg, SU, and delicious it myself? Do social bookmarking sites have any restrictions on people digging or SU-ing their own site? Could someone please explain this?

Also, is it true that when you take part in SU or Digg exchange with other people in forums like this, your account in Digg or SU might get banned? I read something of this sort somewhere in this forum, not sure about the exact thread. If that was the case, Digg and SU membership could get reduced by half in no time; isn't it? Could you guys please confirm this?

If you only Digg your stuff you are wasting your time. They will ban you. If you do not know how to "Digg" then you are wasting your time. Social bookmarks are not a problem but just your own bookmarking will do nothing for you. I have gotten great results Stumbling my own posts. It all depends on what you are stumbling and what people are looking for. Generally, people stumbling are not looking to be sold anything. The exchange sites can leave a visible pattern that Digg will look for. I am not sure for Stumbleupon. Most Digg and Stumble users are not like us. They are not in the Internet Marketing biz.

 

social bookmarkings are very effective... if you use it wisely.. maybe try read their rules so that you can avoid/prevent some problems...

 

You bookmark wisely and you will get tons of free traffic as well

It seems my site get banned in Digg and propeller for spamming. Well it was shock as I was submitting 6 to 10 article per day. Is that spamming. I never thought that 10 article is spamming.

Is there anyway to get out of this miserable condition.

Why don't add those buttons on your pages. You can submit yourself no harm, just don't use your info @ yoursite.com email address. Here is a list of those sites you can use. http://www.webcosmo.com/Tools/bookmarks/BookmarkServer.aspx

 

Almost all SB sites are nofollow sites but digg and the other are moderated don't submit everyday 'coz if they detect you are usually banned so if I where you I will submit to these SB site at least once to twice a week..

 

Try to see the help section of your SB sites. All SB sites provides help for those who did not yet know how to bookmark.
