Yes, overture is the best tool to know your monthly keyword competition. As zeruel said, use the DP version in order to know the daily visitor.

Overture is the best tool before but for now, NO
    Its still not updated..

The best thing to do is use several tools and compare all of their results.

Or you could use Nichebot and get access to Keyword Discovery + WordTracker's databases for 10 bucks a month. Check my sig.

Does anyone know if keyworddiscovery results are daily etc?

Isn't overture slightly out of date at the moment and its results are from yahoo only, is that true?

Keyworddiscovery displays the results within its database and calculates estimated daily searches through a formula which includes the total searches throughout all the search engines monitored per day. I'm really torn at the moment between investing in keyworddiscovery along with the seo toolkit that the same company provides or wordtracker. I need the regional data that keyworddiscovery seems to offer (for UK sites, we don't all live in the US) and wordtracker seems to be very US focused. Also the 'bolt on' SEO toolkit looks to offer some nice additional features for SEM

Yeah, I like the functionality of wordtracker but the database only stores data from a limited number of SEs as far as I can tell (and is limited to the last 2-3 months) whereas KD is collecting data from 180 SEs and can give seaonal output over a 12 month period - plus the interface is a lot more user friendly. Just have to pay 2-3 times more:(

Their competitor analysis tool looks like a wicked mining resource if it actually works.

Also, I'm always cautious when a site seems to be dropping in traffic and displays overview screenshots from 2-3 years ago. The forum also seems to be little used at KD which fires a warning shot.
