BANS websites

Are many directories accepting BANS sites?

Considering that is filled with affiliate link(s), I would assume that the answer is no. If so, can anyone direct me to the right places?

I really don't think that most of the directory owners will accept it, Unless it is really a nice resource in that niche.

I don't have mine up yet. You can go to buildanichestore.com and click customer stores at the top.

Straight out of the box your store will:

    1. Contain all of those products listed on eBay relevant to your chosen niche.
    2. Contain a sub-category navigation based on eBay’s hierarchical category structure.
    3. Have all the search features of the eBay marketplace.
    4. Have your eBay affiliate id embedded into each of the external product links to eBay.
    5. Be completely SEO friendly.

Doesn't sound like a site that I'd like to list, but that's just my personal preference.

I consider it an affiliate site, so my answer is no, I will not allow them to be listed in my directories.

Mine is not a BANS site but I put together a similar sort of thing here.

I enjoy coding so I created the site before I knew BANS even existed. I wouldn't include turnkey site unless it had something more to offer otherwise you end up with tons of identical looking sites.

sorry to post on an old thread but I've only just joined.

what if a BANS site had an original and regularly updated blog with articles about the topic but not necessarily affiliate links on that page?

I was wondering the same thing. Thanks for your help anarmyofme.

Wouldn't this just go in the business section of directories?

I was told it may be risky to use trademarked names for bans store. So now I choose generic names.

As a directory owner I usually won't accept 'BANS" web sites, because all they are is a bunch of affiliate links. However, if the BANS offers some kind of quality information or original content or if the site has a decent design with an actual customized logo then I sometimes will accept them.

I would say that there are a lot of junk directories out there on the Web that will accept any old junky BANS website. These sites may help you get listed in the search engines, and they may even help improve your page rank, but they are usually not trusted resources as far as the search engines are concerned, and so they won't really help you rank better in the search engines.
