I have been using paypal to process purchases made on my website. My question is whether the customers mind paying with paypal. Perhaps they prefer another form of payment.
i'm forced to use paypal because my clients are mostly using paypal. i don't prefer it as my primary e-currency.
it seems paypal is the universal norm of payment on the net..so far all my transactions are done through paypal,,and so far all is good.
I love to use PayPal I find it so easy to use and everyone has one that buys my graphics So I do not find it an inconvenience... I also make purchases with PayPal as well
I have had one problem in the 1 year of using them. That problem was sorted out quickly by PayPal and made me more confident in using them. Also most people use it so I'm sort of forced to use it in order to make money.
With the high level of frauds on paypal by being who are dishonest in their applications and dealings, I do not use Paypal any longer. When I was using it last year to collect payments, I was faced with loads of issues and a marginal increase in sales. When I decided to remove Paypal as a payment option, I did not suffer from the drop in sales but rather life is a lot better with a much smaller level of frauds. You never know who you dealing with on Paypal, a verified account is no longer what it used to be because people here just use fake information, fake bank accounts and VCC to verify their accounts. Most of which are unverified and they enter anything they like. I just don't like dealing with people who are dishonest.
Paypal is widely accepted as payment processor for buying and selling so there is no doubt that people are forced to use paypal
Since eBay decided to merge with PayPal it is looked at as a trusted source of payment. There are still tons of people who are nervous entering their credit card information online so they choose PayPal. Other than that, it is truly a convenient payment method to the buyer.
I agree... that Ebay combining with Paypal has made Paypal a household name that the majority of people trust
Hmm.. for those who don't want to use PP I think they can't do anything since almost all of the internet users uses PP ..
Well, that's not true. It all depends on the type of customers you selected. Basically, if you have Paypal account, you need to have a Credit Card to verify in most countries and in the US, it is needed to raise your limits. With that in mind, all Paypal account holders would have credit cards. It is only those who use VCC that would not have credit cards but the number is small and mostly confided to DP and a few other places. I had been using a 3rd party credit card processor for a long time then I added paypal for about 6 months but I do not actually see an increase in sales, just a small number do pay via paypal. It became quite problematic and when I removed Paypal, my sales did not suffer. Now a number of payment processor like 2checkout and plimus supports paypal payment so at least that covers all major platform.
i dunno what people have with paypal. i am happy with it and i accept payments via paypal, and also send payments via paypal.
I like to pay with paypal, mainly because I'm not the one that has to pay the fees, so keep that in mind.
