Right, I agree to an extent, however, they are also part of ON-PAGE optimizing & a seasoned SEO knows to check & make sure those elements are in place (If not, they suggest & or proceed with corrections). The simple addition of those elements can aid the Overall SEO campaign tremendously.

Especially seeing that those simple fundamentals are algorithmically calculated as well for an overall SERP's result.

Agree to pay after they achieve rank 1, otherwise you'll be ripped off.

Which SE's do you submit to?

I can't even remember the last time I submitted anywhere.

I do agree with Dan in that statement, as far as an initial launch of a site goes that hasn't started Link building yet. Matter of fact, every website design I do for a client I always include a free 600+ Engine & Directory submission Just to get them started off right.

After that it should be all manual Link building.

Just a kick start tactic, but I think to submit to same engines twice per month is a bit redundant & may even trigger a spam redflag.

To each their own though! We all do things a little different....

(P.S. I also think that when most people say: "I'm going to submit you to 1,500 Search engines"; What they really mean is: "I'm going to submit you to the top engines & a butt load of non-essential directories"; Just sounds more attractive to just say "1,500 Search Engines" - WOW -. Argumentatively a directory in itself is a baby search engine, seeing that you can use the search option to locate a listed website that fits within your keyword search criteria)

In addition to the 2 times per month submission, if directories are the case then most don't allow more than one submission to the same category for the same URL & or e-mail address. So now that I have thought more about this out loud (Textually / visually), it's starting to sound like they are posting to FREE classifieds sites that expire every 2 weeks... Go figure - classifieds Also having a searchable database that could be called an engine -

Rank 1 for what? Some non-competitive keyword they're using to jusitfy the expense? That would be my guess.

Google, Yahoo and MSN. And I only do it once when I launch a new site. And once that's done, I forget about it.

if you were to ask me i think it is too expensive there are other seo company that offers the same guarantee that your page would rank in an search engine and cost less but if you want a much cheaper price try look for a free lance seo that can do the same job.

Your HTML isn't valid, the board only accepts BB Code and nobody looks serious running on Geocities.

Enjoy the rest of your day. :)

Good SEO can do 1st pace

It was here on DP, around 2 months ago

www.offshorelegal.org want to be on 1st 10 on Google for "offshore banking", this time he was 330. Someone from Philippines make position 7th just in 2 weeks. Now is all times on 1-2 because no reason to fight with wikipedia

Good SEO can do 1st position

save the cash and learn seo on your own. its a waste to give that to someone for search submissions.

That's something nobody can actually do, guarantee a 1st place in Google. It's like a lawyer guaranteeing they'll win a case. It's not possible, and it's a big red flag.

Also, you don't need to submit to the search engines even once, let alone once a month. They find you while crawling the web to update their index.

I wouldn't "promise" #1 as it's callingcards.com complete with SiteLinks.. Althought it would be obtainable with a rather large budget.

However getting in the top 10 isn't too tuff.

I think he found a very very old SE promotion/marketing company to do the job and they never improved. No wonder still charging $200 for 1500 web submission. 8 years ago I might think it is a good bargain but not now.
