I have seen it, And i come to the conclusion that it is very much not perfect. The small number of habitable planets shows me that if it was designed the designed was a retard who didn't really know what he was doing and just got lucky with us. Yeah, that is <i>some</i> designer. Given the huge amount of planets in the universe we have to say that the chance of one (or a few) providing the right conditions is high, Even though the chance of any one planet providing the right conditions is low. Think about it like this. If a cloud dropped one rain drop and you held out your hand it's unlikely that the droplet would hit your hand. But given the vast amount of rain drops that come from a cloud the chance of none hitting your hand is highly unlikely.
WRONG! Do you know how many major climate shifts have happened during the planets life cycle... oh wait you think the planet is less than 30,000 years old, so lets throw that one out for arguments sake. The habital zone for a planet to a star that is the size of ours is quite great. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Habitable_zone http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Age_of_the_Earth
So does 65% of the people who voted! If you really believe it didn't happen then PLEASE explain dinosaures
Other then your comments of our creator and imperfection, i agree But The conditions for life have to be perfect, you can not deny that scientifically, yet you have. It just shows what your willing to do to deny God. I believe it is possable for other life on planets, but something (God) is going to have to either create the perfect conditions for the life, or create the life to fit the environmental conditions this has been explained
Where did i deny that they have to be perfect? are you just making stuff up again? All i said is that with the billion of stars in our galaxy and the billions of galaxies in the known universe its highly likely that some planets will have this seemingly unlikely perfection. it just happens that we are on one of them. If god is such a great designer how do you account for the trillions of planets that are incapable of sustaining life and, closer to home, Imperfections in humans like the jaw being too small to contain all of our teeth? taht is some "design" he done there. if this "designer" of yours was an architect he would be fired and possibly sued for gross incompetence. He is obvioudsly a dopy moron who needs more than one attempt to get something right.
is this not your post everyday we learn how each element of space effects our own planet, for example the moon, why is it there, well it does serve a purpose, as does the sun and other stars, as does the various gases in the world. We may not know now why God created those planets and galaxies beyond our own, but i bet there is a reason for it. and i bet we one day will know
Reread the thread I'm not going to repost anything, we have touched base on dinosaurs, if you have a specific question ask it. Just a reminder, The bible mentions dinosaurs. Known then as behemoths
That was referring to the universe as a whole where 99.999999999% of planets are incapable of sustaining life (though incompetent design). Not referring to the need of our own planet to have all of the required attributes for life.
You cant possibly sit there and tell me you know for a fact that those other galaxies and planatary elements do not attribute to our planet. Like i said , we are always finding out that one element requires another.
I don't even know what this means. What are you doing? Throwing darts at a dictionary to form your sentences? What do you mean attribute? (no doubt it's another claim that i said something i didn't)
let me draw a picture for you. For the earth to inhabit life, it requires other cosmic elements such as the sun, and the moon. It is my guess, (yes a guess, an assumption but a completely logical one), That those elements, sun, moon, etc.. require, certain attributes (means elements or traits) of other cosmic items, (other planets, other galaxies, certain forces, etc...), in order to exist. Is this not a reasonable assumption? you asked earlier why make all those planets with no life, I'm saying they attribute to our life here. I cant make this any easier to understand, its not that complicated
i would add more 9's but sure ill give you that. The fact is we do not know how many planets there are, so there is no way of determining that number. Unfortunatly thats the problem with science today, they simply guess numbers such as that to determine something.
What is your basis for assuming that? Is it just a far fetched rationalisation that allows you to continue with a belief in the face of overwhelming evidence to the contrary?
Thats the point, from what we can tell there are trillions of trillions of stars, planets and space whatever out there, don't you think just glancing at the other side of things would be good? Don't you think god would feel its your right to KNOW he exists more on faith alone?
What contrary evidence states that other planetary systems do NOT effect our own? There is more evidence supporting my ideas then there is to deny it. Look at that video again and you will see how one thing effects another
I do know he exist on more than faith alone, thats what yall dont seem to understand, to walk with god is to know him, i know him. You want to know why we are so stubborn. It because we know
