    Does Google index dynamic pages?

Yes, Google indexes dynamically generated webpages, including .asp pages, .php pages, and pages with question marks in their URLs. However, these pages can cause problems for google crawler and may be ignored. If you're concerned that your dynamically generated pages are being ignored, you may want to consider creating static copies of these pages for google crawler. If you do this, please be sure to include a robots.txt file that disallows the dynamic pages in order to ensure that these pages aren't seen as having duplicate content. In addition, you might consider creating and submitting a detailed Sitemap of your pages . Google webmaster tools are an easy way for you to submit all your URLs to the Google index and get detailed reports about the visibility of your pages on Google. Please note that submitting a Sitemap doesn't guarantee that all pages of your site will be crawled or included in google search results.

Or just use mod rewrite for the strings used in the dynamic URL to make them look static to Google.

I've been using dynamic pages for all my blogs and websites for a long time now, with my own created asp.net script.

works great, google always index my sites.

I also made a function to rewrite the url a bit to give a bit of info of what the content is about.

Google will index dynamic pages if the url is not extremely long. If the session cookie is appended to the url, google generally does not index those pages.

'seoalan' You are 100% Right " Its very old... " --> Simply because you are posting in an old thread !!!

However for *inux based servers use the mod_rewrite to rewrite dynamic pages with parameters in the URL into more search engine friendly url's ex:
    www.domainname.com/products.php?id=125
    www.domainname.com/product-category/product-name.php

And for the ASP / .NET guys go ahead and read more about how to use the URL Mapping by adding few simple lines in your even machine.confing or web.confing files to rewrite the dynamic url's it's it's matches.
    www.domainname.com/products.aspx?id=125
    www.domainname.com/product-category/product-name.aspx
