To make some money online, I started learning and applying affiliate marketing techniques about 10 months ago, and I've been losing money since. I've tired Adwords, Mass emailing, Newsletters, Content sites, Ads on forums, Blackhat techniques, Craiglist, you name it. But all failed me. I'm thinking of writing my affiliate URL on my body and running NAKED down the street but I'm afraid that won't work either. So if anyone has a technique they use to make money with affiliate marketing, PLEASE share it. Thanks in advance. By the way, I tried CJ, Clickbank, ShareASale and few less popular ad networks, and like I said I haven't made money on any of them.
Your sales are only as good as your ads, sales pitch, and Website. By the way, mass e-mailing and ads on forums don't work.
Well look at it this way you know what does not work now..... try targeting in more on content sites, and make sure you are promoting a good product
Show me a example of your best attempt of a ad or site that you think should have worked and Ill give you my best insight.
Affiliate marketing does work. You need to find a hot high converting product. Go to overture keyword tool, find less competitive keywords, keywords with different variations and start on bid on PPC. That's what i did, and i made $244 in 8 days. PPC works. The trick is your own good landing page and and cheap but targeted keywords. Even 10 clicks per day will suffice. And do iclude the price in your ad copy - less visits will be offset with higher conversion. Mass emailing, craiglist, i'm afraid rarely works.
I have to agree about PPC (although not blackhat, lol). Ive tried this sooo many times and it just DOES NOT WORK. I was only able to get it to work on facebook and of course, that ad was quickly banned *rolls eyes*.
I am smiling as I write this and as I was reading your thread! I have no idea how you manage not to make much in the last 10 months but I think I know why: You don't have the right mindset. What I mean is that you aren't thinking right like someone who already successful is. I recommend you go into self-improvement. Yes, affiliate marketing works! It make me most of my income. I use mostly Article Marketing to make affiliate sales. So buy some guide on Self-Improvement and apply it. Then read this forum and apply...simple
You need to review your technique. you must be doing something wrong. Affiliate marketing helps to lots of people.
Most of the business models here on DP work...they just each take different mindsets and techniques. Even affiliate marketing works. The pain in the rear part is that most of this is ALOT more involved than you are often led to believe, but once you get the rythm down it'll start to cascade. Promote, promote, promote....
Im making $10 a day from affiliate marketing for doing almost nothing and I havn't spent more then $10 for the domain. So you get yourself a niche, read about it, build a site about it, submit your site to dirs and search engines. Then when you have made the first sale from that niche you can start advertise.
Affiliate marketing isnt as easy as it seems but it is very possible to make a lot of money, you just have to know what you are doing. Instead of pay per click try article marketing, iv always made money using articles ever since i can remember, and best of all its free! The trick is to find article titles that will rank well in google and then go submit them, remember the all important signature you need to write. 10 or twenty articles focused on one subject and il guarantee you will make at least a few sales a month. Dont bother with adverts on forums, like the other guys say, they dont work, you would be much better just putting a link to your product in your signature and posting useful info, made money from this in the past and present as well. Iv made money using shareasale, clickbank and commission junction, its all about keyword and market research mate. Find the keywords that are getting high searches and little competition then start digging. Forums, social network sites....Yahoos answers and google groups are great ways to find out what people are in need of. Once you find what people are looking for build your page around that subject using the high search, low competition keywords you found above then submit to all the directories using your keywords and write articles using different keywords related to your sites subject, remembering to link to your site in the signature using your keywords and choose the titles based on low competition phrases. This method works every time as long as your landing page is written ok....Look at copywriting for this. You can treble your sales with a well written landing page. Id stay clear of pay per click until you are making sales with free methods because it all works the same way but pay per click is much faster. Ste
Has anybody got some positive stories about internet marketing affiliate products to share...for example What subniche works best for you...traffic generation, list building, or sales copywriting,,,,,,or maybe you have another favorite?
Personally the only thing that works as far as affiliates go is to find products that fit my website - which already has significant traffic. I don't do the other way around, because it just doesn't motive me. That said - ppc and direct advertising make me more money than affiliates. It ads up to lots of work for little profit for me.
It sounds like you aren't receiving targetted traffic. You really gotta focus and think smart to understand how to get it. I guess if you really want to do this, you gotta keep trying. If it's that bad though, maybe you should pick up a new hobby.

I made over $4000 on Adsense, and about $2000 selling digital products (essays, adsense templates and what not) I dunno why affiliate marketing isn't working for me..
