Sounds like pretty much 99% of all the offers posted on digital point here. A reseller of a reseller of a reseller selling one time payments. Non existent support with the only form of support going through this forum and usually down right to the topic of the offer.

I guess live and learn right? Hopefully in the future you pick a more reliable host and you have a much better experience than it sounds like you are having right now.

emopunk, is the problem with the HTTP in my server resolved yet?

 

This is very slow hosting now because of the amounts of people on it. I'm moving all my sites back to my old hosting.

 

not sure wich server you are on, but no problems with speed on the "panama" server here

I gotta say that the hosting is pretty pathetic.
This is a review
I got the hosting 2 days back, and was initially impressed because of the massive stats they offered.
The next day I found out that there was some problem with their hosting.
I contacted emopunk on MSN and he said the problem would be resolved within 2 hours.
I contacted him after 2 hours, and he said it would be right in 5 mins.
After those 5 mins elapsed, I got no response and he changed his status to "busy"
Tomorrow, when I ask him why it hasn't been resolved he says it has been resolved, and sure enough, the problem still persists.
I might have to chargeback.

 

can I PLEASE get my files sent to me.....
been waiting since the weekend....
or remove the limitations and allow me to import through my new host

You can't import account from a server to another unless you have root access on both the servers and there is no way he would give you his root password !

 

Actually incorrect on that one you can do it one account at a time.

But I imagine what the other host is wanting to do is download cPanel backup files. Now if you do not have enough space it will be tough to dump its backup files somewhere on the accounts.


So my suggestion to the user try the FTP backup option where it sends the backups to another location. But the FTP info of your new host and have the backups put there. I'm not sure if the same space limitation will come into play if it's ftping the backup across. I don't think it ever hits the users home directory but I am not 100% positive on that.

 

I can help you even your bandwidth is low.
It should be cpanel and i have cpanel access & site is resolving.
I can try because i am aware of a cpanel exploit to bypass bandwidth limits may be this thing works for you.

I am still in limbo on this.
the new host is waiting, new host emailed this host asking for cooperation.
this host is not replying...
this host sent the wrong domain backups to me of someone else account; then sent 1 account from my cpanel, as opposed to my 20 domains under the whm...

frustration is an understatement!

 

He doesn't have access to his account on the old server and he was trying to do account transfer through WHM of his new host.

So he wants to log into his new host and grab the files from his old host.

Your method was to do remote FTP backup initiated from his old host to send the backup to his new host which will not be possible while he can't reach his old host account

Solution ?

He gives the details of his new account to his old host so they do FTP backup to his new hosting account but unlikely his old host is not co-operating.
