How can I make $100 a day with online advertising?

    Hello People...

I'm yet to make some real money on the internet... I'm here to learn from all you veterans...

I want to start a website (not a blog), and I want to concentrate on a specific niche, and earn $100 a day... Here are my questions... I'm sure I'll get a great response from all of you...

    1. What niche to pick?

    2. Do I create a website which has all the info./content open to public, or do I get people to sign up, login and get the info.?

    3. Should I add a blog to the website?

    4. I don't want to charge people for something, meaning I don't want to sell (for the time being, at least)... How do I monetise? Should I use the members' e-mail database to make money? Should I use CPA, CPM or CPC? Should I use Amazon? Should I use a combination of these?

    5. How do I get targeted traffic?

    6. How do I build the mailing list which is highly responsive? I want at least 80% of the members to be active on my website, or read the e-mails I send, as free lessons...

The target is $100 a day... Please help me people, with suggestions on the above questions, and some more suggestions I missed out asking about...

    Thanks and Regards :)

it will take a while to get to a 100 a day

Also about the niche thats really upto you. people wont tell you a good niche if they have one as if the ydo then it wont be a niche for long as everybody jumps onboard for a bit of the money

just go with something that interests you as you will put more into something that you are interested about

also you could always have a blog relalted to your site as its great for getting people to come back to see your content and the site been public or private really depends on what your site is

monetiing could be done by adsense and similar programs.

And if you build up a list of emails dont sell it or anything to make money as that will just reduce the value of your site as people dont like there emails been given out

    correct, and that's the beginning...

    correct...

hmmm, will probably need to research a lot more...

hmmm... it's essentially going to be a combination of a content-driven / informative site and a discussion-oriented website

won't rent the list to a third party, but planning on JVs with someone who I'll advertise for in the specific niche... what say?

    1. pick a niche where you have interes/knowledge in, so it's not so much like work, and you don't have to force yourself to work because you're bored of it. You can see if it's profitable, if you see some adwords ads right of the google search engine for your niche search phrases.

    2. Membership Sites can be very profitable, if you know to do it right. Open is also a working model, it's both possible.

    3. That's always a great thing, if done right, you can attract massive traffic with the blog.

    4. If it's ok for you to rewiew or recomend products, then you can use affiliate links. When people click on the link and buy there, you get a commission. So you are not really selling to them, but "preselling". That is to educate the readers about a product and help them to make a good buying decision. Don't know if that feels ok for you.
Use the email-base? YES! It is very profitable, there's a saying "The money is in the list", and that's the truth, because the people often don't buy at first contact, and get trust because of repeated contact, or are not sure at first and are reminded by your mails or more educated about how the product will improve their life or solve their problem.
"Should I use CPA, CPM or CPC? Should I use Amazon? Should I use a combination of these?" - All possible. CPC is not easy, you can burn a lot of money there, so caution. Amazon has pretty low commissions, but it's possible too. I would go for higher commission products though. Info Products have often 50 to 75% commission (find for example in clickbank).

    5. There are many ways. Adwords is highly targeted, Article Marketing is great, Blogging, SEO'd content, good backlinks, Joint Venture Partners, own Affiliates (the most LAZY traffic you can get).

    6. Speak them to you in a very personal way, as if you were talking to one person alone. Give them helpful content, not sales pitch after sales pitch.

It will be hard work and many failures until you see $100 a day. it can take you some months or some years (if you don't give up before).

    To your success!

    Andy

Even though they are blogs, go to shoemoney and JohnChow's sites. Study 'em. Take the sites apart piece by piece, studying every little piece of the sites and see if you can do the same.

    "1. What niche to pick?"

Believe it or not, "niches" are overrated.

"2. Do I create a website which has all the info./content open to public, or do I get people to sign up, login and get the info.?"

God no! Don't ever have a page set up where they have to sign in, JUST to get into your site! You will lose a lot of potential customers!

Besides, many will just put anything in the e-mail box to get in. Example: .

"3. Should I add a blog to the website?"

Not if you aren't good at coming up with good stuff at least several times a week.

Compared to the number of Internet users out there, very few are interested in bogs, so you have to have a pretty good one.

"4. I don't want to charge people for something, meaning I don't want to sell (for the time being, at least)... How do I monetise? Should I use the members' e-mail database to make money? Should I use CPA, CPM or CPC? Should I use Amazon? Should I use a combination of these?

    Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes.

Again, look at Shoemoney and JohnChow.com for ideas.

    You can put in anything!

"5. How do I get targeted traffic?"

    Advertising.

"6. How do I build the mailing list which is highly responsive? I want at least 80% of the members to be active on my website, or read the e-mails I send, as free lessons..."

Less than 5% sign up for newsletters. If you aren't sure yet on doing it, I would suggest that you think about just putting the info. on your site.

Better to have 100% of your visitors see it, than less than 5%. Better to have MANY more come back on a regualr basis than less than that 5%.

More on how to advertise your site....

Pick a niche you have experience in, preferably one with little to no competition, do not place any advertising on it, develop content, build a community (forums help), then slowly add in advertising as the months pass by.

Making a site solely for $$$ usually doesn't succeed in long-term.

$100/day is tough to reach when you are starting from scratch. You may want to consider buying a site in a niche you like or are interested in that is already making $5-10/day. Look for sites that have room for improvement with work... You may have to pay 6-12 months revenue based on how old and established the site is... but if you see the potential for growth, than it can be worth it in the long run.

Check out sites like DP, SitePoint and BizBuySell... along with DnForums. All have marketplaces for buying sites...

I disagree with just about everyone here. It's not hard to make $100 a day. In fact, it's no more difficult to do $100 a day than it is to do $10. It's all about scale.

Run a site for a while and check the conversions. Once it's converting decently (at least 15%), ramp it up. Up the PPC, up the advertising, up everything. As long as it's still converting, who cares?

Well I would guess you are an elite online marketer. Not many folks can do it that easily... or everyone would not be in here asking these questions... ;-)

I wouldn't say that I'm elite, but I definitely do pretty well. I'm a full time affiliate manager and an affiliate marketer, and I have been for four years now.

One thing that I've learned is that a lot of people talk and talk about what they're going to do but never actually do it. The best advice you'll ever get is get off your rear and do it!

Everyone has to learn somewhere, but always remember that everyone started in the same boat.

I think aiming for something as high as $100 is a bit much try to get to 5 then 10 then 30 then 50 then 100. It will take a LONG time to get to $100 a day unless you spend alot on advertising!

It wont happen over night, you have to put your site link everywhere and anywhere, thats an easy thing to do, if you want to get to 5000 views quickly perhaps start buying advertising.
Adding a blog would be great and get RSS feeds to it, use www.feedburner.com thats a good site.

    Will.
    good luck

Im sorry but If you can not make 100$ a day every day with in a month of having something up and running then you are not focusing on what counts and that is promotion.
If any person here wants to say that it takes money to promote enough to make 100 a day thats bullshit. It takes drive and the will to make 100 a day. It takes having the guts to get out and make it happen.

Hell if I needed a 100 a day and did not have any online traffic I would find a affiliate program that had a great product and had a great payout and would walk the street handing out cards to a domain that redirects with my code.

Hand out enough cards for a good product with a good pitch you will make money any day.
