All the time that I spend on my sites making adjustments and researching who I am linking to and then all the more time I spend reading about what to adjust, then I run across this stupid site that has a PR4 with no links at all, and really nothing but a big flash file on their site of which I am still trying to figure out the point http://www.papertoilet.com
it has 53 back links in google, Inlinks (2,537) in yahoo, 5 links showed on alexa, what are you talking about?
Linking to sites won't help your pagerank. http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=link:www.papertoilet.com&btnG=Google+Search That site has back links.
Right - that is what I meant, there is no content on the site - I realize they have all the back links, but it makes me think that all the links I have on my site are just a big pain in the a** ... I've been using this site to help me tweak my links (the ones on my site) and it pretty much tells me that the most important links (as far as content to my readers) are junk links on my site that Google may identify as possible paid links, and will hurt my page rank. And then I have a handful of actual paid links on my site that this tool says are fine. Ok. So then I see a site like this and I just think "WTF" ... LOL - I am just frustrated I guess, I've been awake for too many hours - LOL
Pagerank has absolutely NOTHING to do with what's on the page, i've got blank pages go PR4 and PR5... BTW that site is pretty funny, i unrolled all the paper lol. Oh and the useless link tool you are using, should actually be called a useless tool.
LOL... That's a funny web site. A stupid one too and I like it. It just shows how useless and meaningless to bother about your web page's PageRank when what you want is targeted traffic to your page.
I know - I got a full night's sleep and the next day, I am still miffed. I'm going to come up with something dumb for a site and see what happens - any ideas? LOL
