Hey guys, I have been testing out the Build a Niche Store Script, and looking at finding quality niches. Here is a blog post on my: 5 steps to finding a quality niche Would love to hear some feedback. thanks Tom
Thanks for the tips. Your blog post was very informative. Selecting a niche is indeed the hardest step in starting a business or new income stream.
haha... I only bought the domain just before I wrote the blog post. the BANs script is still getting installed!
Another good way of conducting a research on a niche is by using the micro niche finder software. It gives you a great statistics on competition and keywords as well.
Great tips - market research is very important in ANY industry, bans/oto/networks/offline/dropship/etc. It' good that you are thinking niche but thinking BIG, you'll need with a mall type setup. You may also find that you exhaust your efforts with trying to compete with mini-mall/bans sites out there, and often times promoting your top 5-10 products individually with their own campaigns will prove to be much more profitable... feel free to check my sign for quality new to market niche products, some of my affiliates are starting to monetize them well with single promo's... Cheers and congrats, NC
You can also use Overture to determine if a niche is competitive or not. You should aim for terms that get between 40.000 and 80.000 searches on overture. I found it that anything less than 40.000 doesn't get enough traffic; what's over 80.000 is too competitive.
