How many listings do you add a day on average and how do you go about hunting them besides just typing in a keyword in google . Been adding some here and there but have come to a conclusion that it should be on the daily activities list. Whether in the mood or not the show must go own.
I try add around 5 a day with 100 word descriptions to give the best content. I add sites i like, ask other peoples theirs, and use sites found through search engines.
Add sites under topics you're pasionate about. You can also checkout the news for current events, slap a word or two into your favorite search engine, check out some of the major directory blogs like Yahoo's The Spark and see what's new there for a few ideas. It's easier if you've an interest in the topic.
It would be useful if these sort of forums kept a list of directories which only accept quality content and which hold themselves to be publicly accountable for the content they do list. Directory masters could then use of this content to seed their own categories and give buyers the excuse they need to submit their sites to listed directories. It might also give directory masters an incentive to go straight and make themselves useful to both Google and the wider community.
For anyone who adds sites regularly to add content to their directories, have you been doing this from the beginning of the directories life or is it something you began after a while. If for example you began doing it a few months ago, have you seen experienced anything significant from this? or is it a case of generally wanted to find great sites to list in your directory?
