Which to choose for a dedicated server?

I'm asking about the bandwidth part of some dedicated server plans. I curious about this phrase...

Network services for your dedicated server can be purchased by either Total Monthly Transfer or Megabits per second (Mbps) Bandwidth options. These additional options may be added to your account after purchase. All prices are monthly.

This means I can choose the following...

    1000GB monthly transfer

    or

    1Mbps

Which would be better? Does the 1Mbps mean I get unlimited data transfer at that rate?

Go for the 1000GB - you get more.

    1Mbps is about ~330GB.

Why is it the same price then? I don't understand why we get to choose, I assumed the 1Mbps was unlimited bandwidth at that speed.

Understand the magic of letters here...

    1 MBps = 8 Mbps = 2500 GB
    1 Mbps = 330 GB
    100 Mbps = 33.3 TB
    1000 GB = 3.3 Mbps

    B = Byte and b = bit

    8 bit = 1 Byte

    ~ indicates a rough estimate :p

    I say that because I know 10mbps = ~3300gb :p

They say it because "unmetered" sounds fancy. You see unmetered you think "hmm, more bandwidth!" when infact most of the time it isn't :)

unmetered is just a way to attract clients.

1 mbps unmetered and 100 mbps unmetered are completely different.
