I am looking for someone to do a press release for us using prweb.com I need 4 done over the next 3 months. so, one now, one end of Nov. one in Dec and one in Jan. They obviously need to be newsworthy to get prweb to allow it. Topics. Kayaking Safety Kayaking British Columbia Kayak technology Kayak Company Anniversary. I have done press releases with prweb before and I am going to spend about $50 on each as this subject should not be hard to get the top position.
This post doesn't belong here. The copywriting section isn't for advertising for gigs. Post your request in the content creation section (since you're really asking for articles and not true press releases, which aren't content and would better fit in the services area).
Someone gave me a frigin infraction for wanting to employee people? That is incredibly horrible and bad business. Do you think I did this on purpose? Do you think I really wanted to confuse people? "Hey, I will post incorrectly just so I don't find anyone to hire" In 2 years on DP, that was the rudest thing I have ever seen happen. The proper professional response would have been to politely post "Thread moved wrong section" NOT, to personally attack me by giving me infraction points. I had no idea where to put this thread. I have never hired a Press Releaser before and looked for a section on "Press Releases" What you have done is made me afraid to post jobs. Yes, I may have made a mistake by not choosing the best place to put a thread but this is in my opinion a personal attack. Before you attack someone take a moment to stop and think that they may be new to this area of "Internet Marketing" some of us don't know what is all involved in content management and press releases and the like. And most of all, don't bite the hand that feeds you. I have taken this personally and don't even want to post anymore the work that I have for people. Pick and choose who deserves an infraction carefully. I am insulted for trying to help people.
Well, I'm not sure which mod gave you an infraction, but they did it because you didn't follow the rules (which is what the infractions are for). You're not supposed to be advertising for gigs in a non Buy/Sell/Trade area of the forum. The marketplace is clearly marked, and you shouldn't start posting in a new community without acquainting yourself with the rules first. No one cares if you did it "on purpose." Lots of people here get in fractions for doing something wrong when they didn't do it intentionally (myself included). Whining about it usually does nothing more than get you into more trouble (like red rep to accompany the infraction). Move on and don't make the same mistake again... it's a learning experience. Actually, that's not what the proper professional response is. Mods don't have the time in a day to post responses publicly about every post put in the wrong area, plus every other rules violation. The infraction system is there precisely for that reason. An infraction isn't a personal attack. It's just a warning that you screwed up and basically a notice not to do the same thing again. It's not like one infraction's going to get you banned... and they expire, so don't worry so much about it. Post them in the marketplace area of the forum, and you have no reason to worry. Like I said, the mod wasn't "attacking" you... they were just doing their job. It has nothing to do with content management and press releases... it just had to do with reading the rules of a community before jumping in with something. Nobody's going to care that you've taken it personally, and ranting about it isn't going to score you any points with anyone. They're not biting the hand that feeds them. They're clearing out the crap posts that are littering discussion areas of the forum by taking action to make sure you don't make the same mistake again. Upsetting you is nothing compared to the fact that they're pleasing many more people by taking steps to get the forum cleaned up. The fact that you're offering a job doesn't help DP mods... it just helps you get what you want. The marketplace is a privilege; not a right. If you want to take advantage of it, you have to abide by their rules... simple as that. So don't take it so personally. Just try posting your gig in the right area and you'll get more people interested in it, and you won't have to worry about getting another infraction.
