I just looked at my stats program and there are 29 visits from a referrer by the name of "FBI".

Does this mean my website is being viewed at people from the FBI? And if so, has anyone else had this happen to them, and anything *interesting* happen?

    Let me know :p

1 - My site does not have anything to sign up for

2 - This is REFERRER information.

I looked into it more, apparently you can modify the referrer header to say anything. Some people put it to FBI for fun I guess. Apparently this feature comes with some firewalls like Outpost.

Knight Rider is right, if you were being investigated, you wouldn't know about it.

On the other hand, even government employees like to surf the net on "company time!" :) I get a lot of .mil hits to one of my sites from all over the world -- just our guys in uniform kickin back when they've got a little down time, God bless 'em.

I can send fake referrers. Just write off fbi.gov in my hosts file, have apache on and make a html file with your link on it. and type in fbi.gov in my browser and click on the link a bunch of times. and it wil send a fake refferer when I'm actually on localhost.
