when XP was launched... everyone said it's worse than 2000 or Me... now same thing happens with Vista. With a few Service Packs Windows Vista will be supreme ;) i really like those graphic effects Ultimate has. it's true that they could try making it work for slower computers... it sais from start you need 512 MB RAM memory :)

This is true eventually vista will be better than vista when service pack coem out, but until then everyone can rip apart how bad the current version of vista is because it is just that bad.

Graphics card is only a problem depending on the program you are running. Other than that its perfectly fine. Plus tell me which computer they ship today with something less than 128MB of graphics card space? Unless you're talking about a 200 dollar system.

Did you ever read Vista Requirements?
    http://www.microsoft.com/windows/products/windowsvista/editions/systemrequirements.mspx

Did you know Windows Vista uses heavy graphics and animations for it's GUI?, even without Aero.

Yes, most PC's comes with 3D graphics internal cards but shares it's memory with the Main RAM memory.

Go ahead and run Windows Vista on a $200 system, you will enjoy it :D

Yep. You can run Basic on a 200 dollar machine. And if you build it yourself you can probably run Ultimate on a 500 dollar machine.....taking that you are getting good deals on the hardware.

Going back to the software itself. Has anyone adopted vista in the business environment? I'm in financial systems and I can tell you now from the 2 hours I tried vista for, non of my colleagues would use it for more than a day.

Sunday night, bored at home...I was on Digg and found one post about Ubuntu vs Vista Google Trend, I later redefined with "Linux, Windows Vista, Windows XP, Apple Leopard".

    USA only Trends
    http://www.google.com/trends?q=Linu...,+Apple+Leopard&ctab=0&geo=US&date=all&sort=0

    World Wide Trends
    http://www.google.com/trends?q=Linu...opard&ctab=0&geo=all&geor=all&date=all&sort=0

Doing now this way Vista has more search volume.

I just bought a new PC with vista, dual core, 2 gigs of ram, and it sucks. It reminds me of win me. Its slow and it has a lot of clitches, crashes and freezes. XP was great. Vista was designed to satisfy the shareholders, not the users.

If you disable those excessive GUI mods you can run Premium on a 300 dollar machine also.

yes thats how i feel about it. i built my pc and its fast, i installed vista and boom slow, locks up and everything else. it will be a few years before vista's bugs are worked out. they will have to make some service packs before ill use it.
