Yeah, porn and crack sites are full of spyware and viruses.

Well if browsing through random porn sites turns you on, than linux can be your savior. Install the newest version of Linux Ubuntu 7.10 and you are done. Ubuntu can be installed even easier than Windows nowdays, and its so much easier for work, faster and secure than windows. Ubuntu Rules!

Kaspersky is a very great product. Bit defender 2008 with his gamer mode plus protection for 2 year and 2 PC worth really the price

I've used NOD32 for 2 years and crap, it was still infected. I've used that with AVG Anti-Spyware, with Comodo Personal Firewall which in fact is free! My system runs fine, i'm just bothered by the viruses and trojans they were able to detect.

So that's why I've switched to Symantec Endpoint Protection. It may eat up too much resources but it's a better choice for me. It comes with an AV, Anti-Spyware and Firewall in one installation. One more thing, I've been using this for a week and my system runs fine.

Check this out, might be the better choice for you too.

    Good Luck! :D

    Hi

Nod 32 is reckoned to be one of the best, beating Kapersky and AVG among others in a recent test.

I used Avast (free) for ages. However it really slows down a machine. Perfectly happy with NOD 32 for now.

Was your NOD32 set to maximum level of protection? You know many people complain about nod32 because nod32 is not set to full protection by default and they don't know that. There are some little tweaks (a few ticks here and there) and you will have an antivirus protection better than anyone else!

I fully agree! The new versions of the antivirus are finally out!! HORRAY!!

These are the two packages offered now:

Eset Smart Security - A full system protection including NOD32 antivirus, firewall and spam protection

    NOD32 3.0- Only the antivirus

I'm so excited about ESS being finally released. I think its the most simple, easy to use, light and best protection a man could want!

The eternal NOD32 vs Kaspersky debate will finally come to an end with the new Eset Smart Security as a winner :D

The guys from ESET seem to be terrible marketers(knowing the fact that most of the average pc users haven't even heard about them), but great programmers unlike some famous av crap software (cough cough norton cough) which are quite the opposite. Eset invests all of their budget into research and developing and very little in promoting. That's why they are so great, at an affordable price and not so famous.

I use NOD32 .. but it's not virusproof .. :) .. I had a virus the other day that Nod just wouldn't detect .. and I had updated virus definition ... but still the best av to install ..

F-Secure with triple engine scanning system (including Kaspersky and 2 own engines) is excellent choice.

the reason i switched from Nod 32 is that it wasn't able to detect a virus that was detected by symantec.. anyway, i still loved nod 32..can you teach me how to tweak it, so that i could set it to full protection. I might change my mind to switch to NOD32 again.
