Had grabbed in last rush moments and even back in early 2005 Was fed up of renewing them again and again for 2 years. But now I feel good
when i check 27 available, then try to grab by godaddy, but all lost godaddy is very slow than other registars updating whois
I will. The domain market has really heated up the past few years and prices are rising a lot. However, I dont think 4 letters (especiall crap ones) will rise nearly as fast as other segments, so in effect, you are losing money by investing in them as you could make more elsewhere (opportunity cost). There is a lot of new people in the business floating these types of investments, but ow long will it last and who will be left holding this crap? not me.
Good points for sure. It is most likely that a huge majority of these crappy LLLL names will be worth around $10 in a few years, so the people that are buying them just to sit on them will be losing money on the investment.
Probably lucky that you didn't pick up the last 27 because they would've been the crappiest or the crappiest that were left.
A good measure of value or future value of these domains is how many people that are starting up actual websites that want to purchase and use the domain as a first choice..... 99% of these are really crappy domains that nobody would ever want to use for an actual site... this is why they are not worth the registration fee in reality, and never will be.
There were 30,000 LLLL.com's available in June-July 2007, I have the list still if any body wants to see it out of curiosity... Thats a big drop in 3 months up to september...
You are missing the point.. When all the crap ones are gone the half decent ones increase massively in value.. And yes alot of these will be sold with a pretty big profit.. So people are happy for a very good reason, our investment just took a very nice jump up in value.. From you guys it sounds like ONLY domains like wxyq..com have been regged, but out of half a million domains alot of them dont contain wqzx.
Wow this is pretty hard to believe, yet i see the results myself. I never would of thought that this would occur.
