Alexa Top 100k

How do I get my site into Alexa top 100,000? My site is in my sig, and i'm not top 100k yet.

Anybody know?

The hard part is actually getting traffic.

 

Get traffic indeed, get better google position.
Also when more users with Alexa ToolBar get inside your website, you get higher location.

So try to target webmasters and so on.

 

Ask some friends to install the toolbar and visit the site. Its not very hard to get into the top 100,000. Just don't worry about it too much, Alexa is a bad source for traffic info.

it's like 800k at the moment! if you have alexa toolbar at home and you visit your site every day then you can get close to 500k-400k, for getting under the 100k you will need a lot of webmaster related traffic!

 

What exactly do you mean by webmaster related traffic? You mean just a lot of users visiting my site with the toolbar..or... ?

 

lol dude if you think you can make the top 100,000 by putting your site in the sig you are sadly mistaken. The top 100,000 websites ranked by Alexa get a HUGE amount of traffic. One sig would never be able to put a site in the top 100,000. Just as a random guess, I'd assume that the top 100,000 websites get atleast 10,000 hits per month. Probably more.

 

When did anyone say absolutely anything about any sig?

By the way, I got 83,000 hits in October, and it is November 3rd and I have 12,000 hits - going to nearly double hits from October.

 

My friend has a PTC site.He has a rank of 385k in jus 2 months time.He never did any advertising.All members started referring in people.He has around 1000k hits every month.Maybe offer good referral bonuses.That could boost in traffic

 

webmasters traffic, i mean people like us who has websites! the alexa toolbar is mainly used by webmasters.

Alexa rankings shouldn't get the attention they do, they are inaccurate and over manipulated

 

Your initial sentence "My site is in my sig, and i'm not top 100k yet." could easily be understood as that.

 

Its not too hard...stats vary though.

Last month my site got 297,000 unique visitors, and my daily average rank was always between 8,000 to 15,000. My site jumped from 640,000 to 50,000. My best ever Alexa Rank.

 

My site has a ranking of 57K http://alexa.com/data/details/traffic_details?url=wpskins.org

It's mostly webmaster traffic as well. The site receives under 2,000 uniques per day.
