TVLinks No More

Apparently the owner of TVLinks has been arrested. A 26 year old man from Cheltenham, England.

I recently heard about this. Why was he arrested?

 

For running a site that simply linked to videos of copyrighted material.

That's dumb. I mean Google links to the videos too.

i saw the thread on digg.. i wonder why.. i mean the reason was just not so right..

 

Dam it, I liked that site.

 

That is scary if the police came knocking on your door one day. Too bad, I like his site.

 

i think this may affect some webmaster in digtalpoint...there are alot of webmaster in dp, having similar sites like tvlinks. ( anime or movies). Think it will be best to close them down for safe?

 

Yeah, I noticed the site went down a few months ago. Didn't know he had been arrested though. Gutted for him.

 

There's a couple of threads about this. I don't really care about that site. Never had anything I wanted.

 

Is this the same guy who got arrested for owning that music distribution site?

the point of my post was to say "oh my, that's bs, I better shut down my sites that're like that right away because I can do without the po po's harassing me"

 

Then why not just say that instead of making an idiotic post?
