And so it is time to try to moetize our sites which gained PR in the last update of 2007. Now we prepare for he next one... what are your plans? WHat are you going to do to try to increase your PR? Two of my sites dropped, whie the other 5 gained a looooooot! I for one am going to try to learn a lot more about SEO (DP FTW), and if there will be any estimates, I have a hunch they'll appear at http://www.seocompany.ca/pagerank/page-rank-update-list.html When???!!! I couldn't really care. I don't sell links and I don't try to game Google's system. To me, PR is just a little green bar in the toolbar that means very very little. It doesn't have a very direct effect on search engine rankings at all - I've seen low PR sites often beat much higher PR sites. To be honest, it wouldn't be a bad idea if Google got rid of the whole system. People sell links to manipulate/corrupt Google index, so by scrapping toolbar PR, lots of people would suddenly realise that traffic is the most important thing. Dan
even if you said this is not an evil scheme, still it sounds like one. That is one of the reason why PR update takes a long time. PR is used for extreme paid linking.
I hope this is the LAST UPDATE EVER. If so, lots of people who have been gaming the system will suddenly have nothing to do and will have to start earning a decent honest living
The next update is around the corner ooh I can't wait Seriously who cares If your site is getting traffic and you're making money why should you really care what PR you have? I know sites with only a pagerank of 4 who have revenues in the millions. PR sure does a lot for them
we just passed this PR update..not again..NOOOOOOOOOOOOO! anyway..you guys should focus on SEO and bringing traffic..PR is some cool graphix on your toolbar

They updated 180 days since the last one so either they do it in 90 (Jan 25 08) or they lower pr on this date as they did this year and update on April 25 08

But really... we JUST got the PR update, and these threads are always the same. So some people went up, some people went down, some people stayed the same. That's all that needs to be said. Let's discuss some other things and wait until the next update to discuss PR, if that's what people really want to talk about. There is no point crying over PR... you can not control it. Build your sites and let Google 'reward' you with PR for all your hard work, if that's how you see it. People read these forums and always talk about PR, but, all the well-known users with high rep ALWAYS say 'don't bother or worry about PR.' Take the advice on these forums and do not worry about PR. Build quality sites.
