If you owned whateverlive.com - how would you make it larger, and make it a better profit maker? It's owned by a 17 year and I believe she could be earning more than $70,000 a month by diversing - and such. Why just have one mega site when you could create more and branch off from its huge success? So, if you owned whateverlive.com what would you change?
Nothing.. never change sites that are a success already because changes could destroy it. I think she's doing a really good job with the website.. its mega pretty.
she hit a success with myspace layouts - i don't think she has much better skills than that (imo, her layouts aren't too pretty either - or atleast last i checked ~2 months ago)
Maybe that's right. But since she's making a lot of money every month, she could hire someone to do it for her. I don't know about the design for now, I have stop visiting due to the site nearly 'kill' my slow pc.
Yes, that's true - but what if she hit the myspace graphics as well? Surely if her site became a hit for the layouts, it can also grow by introducing myspace graphics too.
Isn't she already getting around $70,000 a month from it? She could easily make more, as you said by introducing different sections, like graphics (different types, backgrounds, online now, extended network, contact tables, etc. Not sure how many of them are still editable on myspace though, I use divs if anything myself).
She's doing it perfectly as it is. I would leave it alone because most of the large resource sites are going backwards due to the increase of sites in that niche. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
I would first of all get a better host which is faster, buy some designers and start in other graphic businesses.
Okay sorry, should have phrased that better. She has her own dedicated server, surely it can't be that slow.
I think that the site is slow because it is loaded with a lot of graphics everywhere. I don't think that it is a problem with her hosting !
She needs to learn how to optimize the graphics - cut them down in size (kb) and make them load faster.
