I used google search box for over 3 monthes now i had 245 quries 10 clicks 0.29 $ earnings does it realy worth ? or just i put it for help of visitors?
it would make you a little money only if you have a lot of visitors. if you have the space for it and if it goes well with your site design, then no harm having it there. once in a while one or 2 clicks from there will make you few pennies. this is for visitors who didn;t click on your ads and would not make you any money so converting few of them isn;t bad
In terms of generating revenue is virtually worthless. I have it because of usability, I want my visitors to be able to find what they want and quickly. That's all...
I added search and referrals to my site, and didn't get a click for a week. I removed the referrals and still no clicks. I then removed the search and got three clicks very quickly. For me, search was useless since nobody used it even once.
Make sure to customize the search results page to match your web site and put your logo on that page. Have the results open in the same page not a blank page. You can pick up some extra money with search and be helpful to your visitors. No reason not to use it. It is kinda ugly they need to make it more sleek looking right now it has a dated look.
It works well on my site. Firstly I always keep my sitemap up to date and so any new pages are in Google, secondly it does generate income for the site- although nowhere near as much as adsense does.
i get hundreds of searches each day and only make ~$1-$2 .. but i continue to use it to ease the CPU load off my server..
