The email claims that my 1-year directory listing has expired. Well, I paid for the listing on April 6, 2007! So, not only did iWEBTOOL force me to drop down to a lower, PR0 page a couple of weeks ago, but they have now blatantly stolen the final 7 months of my contract!
Email them with receipt, I am sure they will sort it out, but if not please do tell us. That other thread springs to mind about 'Everyone talking about them' sadly it seems it is always for the wrong reasons. Good luck, hope you get it sorted out.
Yes I thought you might be, unfortunately I stopped doing business with them after they last hiked prices and I did a little back ground research into their business practices.
I was informed by other members in an earlier thread that I had to follow the link in the email and place my listing in an appropriate category or our listing would be removed. Trouble with this is: 1. Our listings were permanent listings which were grandfathered after the move to an annual fee model. They should not be removed. 2. We never received any emails informing us of this requirement. 3. They have not responded to our inquiry regarding this. Seems to me it's not worth the trouble for the listing; but we will refrain from any future submissions. But it is a simple way to purge the DB of the grandfathered listings.
I havent receieved anything of this kind - id definately go find your paypal invoice the payment and then provide them with the information so they can verify!
I also got the email. Reply to it with a copy from PayPal, and they have uploaded my link again. I think their new script has got a big issue. I'm not satisfied the way they do now.
their tools are broken alot also these days. They need to go over their site and weed out all of the bugs.
OK, I sent them my PayPal transaction ID from April 6. I told them that they better have a good excuse.
I have had good luck myself with them but my buddy had an instance like yours but they corrected it with an email to them!! They told him it was from new system bugs!I don't think you have to worry!!
i recieved a letter how to update my old listings at iwebtool. But its not working. 1 link i could update. 11 links couldn't be updated. I'm very angry about it. Sended them 2 letters, never got an answer ... where talking about more then 100$ Amazing how big sites, can be such unproffesional... (sorry for my bad english)
OK, I am sick and tired of these dirty crooks. I paid for a 1-year listing on a PR4 page on April 6, 2007 (I only mention the PR because I never pay for links on pages under PR3--just my preference). Shortly thereafter, they sent me an email forcing me to downgrade my listing to a buried page with PR0, which is a bait-and-switch tactic they used in order to free-up their high-PR pages. Whatever--I dealt with it. Now, about two months ago, they sent me another email telling me that my link is expired! WHAT? My 1-year link expired after less than 6 months? What a SCAM! So, my link has now been gone for two months, and they have purposely ignored all of my emails over the last two months. I am passed the refund period in PayPal. Any idea on how to deal with these crooks?
Have you contacted them? Last time i spoke with them was on thier forum and i cant even remeber the topic but it was handled promptly I agree that i wouldnt be happy either about the 7 months remaining thx malcolm
Hey, Malcolm, Yes, I have sent them numerous emails over the last two months--they have ignored each one.
We can't let the frauds get away with this. If I had a blog, I would write an article that would make all future link buyers think twice--perhaps three times--about doing business with the iWebTool thieves.
Hey, I'm sad to hear this story, I thought they knew business better than that. However, I would truly recommend going on their community forums and starting a new thread, mention everything you wrote in this thread. Regards, Meti
