An interesting video on the recent publication of news in the media...of course, it all gets down to this: If it is for the Bush admin, it gets buried. If it is for the libs, its page 1. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fwyqsd-FCw8&eurl=http://www.weaselzippers.net/
I agree 100% that the news media is completely partisan and selective. But on the other hand, I'd be angered if they discussed all the positives and decided to neglect the fact we're still letting our 18-23 year old troops die in that country with no clear, feasible goal... I think there's a balance somewhere, and we're definitely not at it...
Thats why the internet is great! No censorship and B.S. Death to television!..and all major media backed by big business.
I never said we should not also portray the bad news, I feel that freedom of speech means that you can write what you want and publish what you want. But when it comes to good news, the media ignores it. Anything that will help the Bush admin is ignored by the media, or buried several pages in on the bottom of the page.
The clue is in the sentence d16. The Bush Admin has not been very good at all, in fact it has been nothing short of a disaster. Hence the lack of positive feedback for it.
I don't see it burried nearly what you claim it to be. Right after 9/11, the build up to Iraq and more it definitely was not 'burried' it was the other way around. Perhaps being so wrong for so long changed things ---BTW even the US military says it's to early to tell, the administration and it's hardcore supporters appear to be the ones who want to make it more than it actually is.
Yes I did. Does it change anything from Bush being wrong for so many years, or our own military saying it's way to early to tell? Plus depending on what count you use it isn't 4 months straight decline as the video claims. I love how you're more conserned about Bush getting good headlines than troop deaths going down.
The only thing I admit about the media is that it is utterly controlled, and changes it's support to fit it's agenda. Bush has served his purpose, he'll go down as the worst President in history but that does not matter, he was the buffoon that will ultimately take the blame for it. A bit like the idiot kid at school that takes the blame for something that the big boys did.
