Is there anyone who can look at my site and determine what's keeping it from getting at least a PR1? I've got links in my signature on quite a few forums and blogs, all of which are PR3 and higher. I've also got some links on a few PR0 sites. If anyone can help me at all, please let me know either here or via PM. Thanks in advance for all your help.
Its been a little over couple of months since you started the site, so it will take some time to get PR from google though you can expect some on the next PR update. One thing I like to point out, if you are not looking to sell links on your site, PR doesn't really matters. Instead focus on getting traffic which would bring you business.
I actually had planned on selling a few sites to html/css coders and whatever else would be needed in web development. I'm assuming that if people are looking for design, they might just need something else as well. Since I don't want to do any of this unless I have to, I figured it might be best to sell a few links. Thanks for the tip about the PR update though. I was unaware there was a certain time it updated. Do you have any idea when this is? Or is it just one of those wait and see kind of things? Thanks again.
If you would like to shoot me pm with a link, I can help real quick. This is pretty easy. However, I believe the latest PR update just ended. It could take a little while. It depends on how whacky the algo change was. Often times Google will backtrack and fix a few things. This update didn't seem to involve much other than adjusting things for obviously paid or dodgy backlinks. Off the top of my head, I would suggest adding a google site map to your page... if you have not already done so. They have worked wonders for me lately and made my job really easy(knock on wood lol). hope that helps, Nigel
yes... all my pr 0 sites updates to pr 2 and 3 sites so maybe yours will too... if not maybe about 3 months from now. My buddies site I built stayed a pr 0 until this update but he was getting alot of traffic even at pr 0
i can always give you a link on my network of 60 web directories to reach pr2/pr3 easily, but why do you want pr at all ? shouldn't you concentrate on getting better rankings and traffic instead ?
Ok, i'm confused, with links like: Custom Web and Graphic Design - & - Search Engine SEO in your Signature I would have thought you would be telling us how to Optimize. At any rate, I wouldn't be worrying about PR.... Try & focus more on your on-page Content & Monetization techniques. I have seen more PR-0's with a 3% conversion that I have PR-3's with a 1% conversion. If more people focused on Traffic Vs. Conversion ratio's & less prefabricated ranking systems created to generate controversy & Standards, they would be making more monthly revenues. Just my 2 cents..... I do wish you luck
Those links are for a guy with whom I'm doing a link swap. He wasn't online at the time I posted this thread which is why I asked. I sure appreciate the responses. I also thought that with a higher PR I might get listed higher in the google search results. It doesn't really matter I don't guess. I just thought it would help me get more people. Thanks again for all the feedback guys/gals.
Google's daily pr sure does matter, but they don't release that to the public. These toolbar pr exports are a good indicator of how well your site is progressing over time, but it takes months to see that green bar move. You should be submitting to as many free web directories as you can find. I have a site that was started on 8/4/07. That site is now a pr 3. The only thing that got it there were free web directory submissions. No paid links, no blog links, no articles, no forum links, and no stumbles or diggs. Just old fashioned Web directory submissions...
with current pr scandal by google , getting a pr seems no problem i got my blog pr 3 just by getting backlinks about 400 in count from my dp signature
Hi Webmaster, We can help u to get PR 1 site back links. Bcoz we are a large seo company in india. We have lot of client for SEO and SEM. I'm waiting your reply. Thanks and Regards Alok Kumar
Google does not release their PR publicly, the toolbar is an indicator that your site is prigressing, try submitting to free directories its do help.
Directory submission is the way to go, and you should see a PR increase after next update....in 3 to 6 months, or maybe even more...
Do not worry, for achieving high ranking it takes a time 2 to 6 months. As well as you should check quality of content, anchor text and you have linked some other sites check whether they have reputation good or bad.
hey i have a blog which i am really interested in increasing PR..........will all this work for a blog too? DP signature and all............?
