Oh I strongly disagree here. 2. if i am wrong : ive lived a decent worthy life No you havent! You spent your resources on worshipping something which did not exist. Instead you could have helped thousands of needy humans (and animals) 3. If your right your dead and gone forever 4. if your wrong, the bible says you will burn in hell If I am right, I am dead and gone forever CORRECT But I have helped thousands of people, who will surely remember me and will do the same for other thousands like them If I am wrong, yep I will burn in hell, but even your bible says that giving help and support to others is a holy task. So I guess they will partially burn me in hell and partially keep me in heaven. Not Bad eh ? It will be like going to work in hell and coming back home in heaven... now thatz lovely Regards, ~KMKM
It is more than a way to help people accept death. It conveys guidelines of the culture as to what is acceptable behavior for living among a community.
Darwin didn't doubt evolution. it's a lie fabricated by the church. the only regret he had at the end of his life is that he couldn't write even more explaining evolution. Has anyone else noticed how all of these conversions by scientists happen on thier death bed? Very convinient that they aren't around to refute the slanderous claims after they have been made.
The doubt was a statement in his hand written diary. I have tried to find the site but with no luck, they have a photocopy of his signed diary with him expressing his doubt. He asked for his salvation on his death bed. If you cant even read this thread without getting it mixed up how do you expect us to take you for your words
The church is rather kinky in some ways, its about submissiveness and mental bondage, funny outfits and kneeling before a master, you have to pay to attend (no come on you do ) there are candles, and the comsuming of christs body, you do as the priest says and repeat after him, then you go home feeling all better and a few coins lighter.
Quoting Darwin below I am conscious that I am in an utterly hopeless muddle. I cannot think that the world, as we see it, is the result of chance; and yet I cannot look at each separate thing as the result of Design.(30) I am in thick mud; the orthodox would say in fetid abominable mud. I believe I am in much the same frame of mind as an old gorilla would be in if set to learn the first book of Euclid... yet I cannot keep out of the question.(31) read fro yourself below, this isnt the site, but im still looking http://www.godweb.org/darwin.htm#N_1_
This is nothing like the church i attend. I attend a house church where we study and sing to god. There is not one in charge of the meetings but god, there is no "leader" We have elders, which we turn to for wisdom. We tithe but not in the traditional way, we send money to christians in china and other places.
May i ask what church you are part of? forgive me if thats too forward of a question, im trying to get an understanding and as you are aware, worldwide their are many churches under different names and rules, many usually claiming that theirs is true. Is it the Mormon church or connected in any way? or possibly the Brethren Church?
