What scripts to use

I am a newb to all of this and woudl like some opinons. I will be doing a unique directory in my niche. It will be a guide more or less but with the same approach as a directory. What I mean by this is I will also be adding full page reviews to some of the submissions.

Here is my problem teh directory right now runs on php lik directory. I personally dont like it. The tags are all messed up as far as order is concerned..this could be how the user before set it but I cant seem to find an easy fix for this stuff, I would like something where it validates the submitters email to make sure it is legit, I can stop spam etcc.

Any suggestions to do this..I am debating on just switching it to basic HTML?

My advise for phpLD. Coz, easy to get help.

 

I'm pretty sure there is email confirmation with the newest version of phpLD. If you are currently using Phpld version 2.0 talk to Dargre. He can probably help you with a fix.
