1. ANN COULTER: Oh God how I hate her. She is like the Paris Hilton of politics. Great to look at but it’s better if she doesn’t talk. Nothing would give me more pleasure than to watch her face when they announce a Democrat President. Even better? A black democrat. GO OBAMA. 2. BILL O’REILLY: I don’t know what shocks me more. The fact that he is more ignorant of his surroundings that Anna Nicole was or the fact that he actually looks down upon you for not agreeing with him. Yes I disagree with you and I still love America. If you have a problem with that, I have a special finger I can dedicate to you. 3. FOX NEWS: If I watched Fox News any more, I’d be scared to use Toilet Paper unless it was made in the United States. Everything is a terrorist plot these days. I would like to see how they spin the Democrats winning the election into a conspiracy by Al Qaeda. 4. JON STEWART: Just how much can a grown man whine? I’d vote for Obama just to put an end to those Republican jokes. Most of them aren’t even funny any more. 5. CONSERVATIVES: Somebody should give these folk a reality check. If I had a dollar for every time I heard: “If you’re against the war, you’re not Americanâ€, “If you’re against Bush, you’re not Americanâ€, “If you support gay marriage you’re not Americanâ€. WHO DIED AND APPOINTED YOU TO THE INS? I’m just as American as you are. Even if I was going to vote Republican, I won’t any more, just to piss you off. 6. ANTI LIBERALS: If I would ever vote FOR gun control, it would be to shoot you. Seriously, what is your problem? I find it ironic that the majority of your kind call liberals “DUH MO CRATS†and yet I live in a house and you live in a trailer park watching your 12 inch TV’s with stolen cable, whining about how the liberals are driving this country to the dogs. I PAY MY TAXES. DO YOU??? 7. “CHRISTIANSâ€: I’m Christian and I’m pretty sure I grew up studying the same bible you did. NOWHERE was it written that God is republican or democrat. If religion had a place in politics and government, Jesus would have run for office. But he didn’t, did he? Don’t give me that nonsense of “I vote republican because I’m Christianâ€. Jesus doesn’t care. The bible said that true believers would go to heaven, not just republicans. Think about this. ALL presidents are politicians and all politicians have to do something unethical in order to win. If they didn’t, they wouldn’t be in the profession. If politicians were truly religious, they wouldn’t be politicians. So look at the issues and vote sensibly. 8. FINALLY 300,000 dead Iraqis, almost 4000 dead Americans and I still pay $3 for gas. Enough said.
I'm a total democrate, but your points aren't that valid. I do recall democrates vote for the iraq war just like republicans.
Then you should already know that democrats are calling for the troops to return and the republicans want to keep the troops in Iraq.
There is no plan, its talk. Not one person has made a excat plan to leave Iraq, sure they can vote and say hey, ya were leaving but without a plan we are no smarter than Bush.
Some other reasons: 1. Higher Taxes 2. Illegals becoming "legal" 3. Socialized Medicine 4. Catering to terrorist organizations 5. Socialism in America 6. If you want congress to get nothing done 7. an even larger government 8. you think Global Warming is not a myth
1. If they don't raise taxes, how do you expect to pay this large debt your all mighty republican party has built up over the past 8 years in control? Fiscal responsible party... ya right. 2. You do realize this is america which was built around immigrants, the only native people to this country are indians. This is a plain racist comment. 3. Apparently you have no clue of the success of other countries with socialized medicine, typical single minded american. 4. It was YOUR republican party who prevent clinton from attacking terror bases and training camps when he was in power. Remember the fox interview where fox got slammed when they tried to corner clinton. one word... priceless. 5. Not even worth commenting on. 6. How do you expect congress to do anything with a president who vetos every bill that isn't in the interest of his beliefs, thats not a demoracy thats a dictatorship. 7. Ya, its not like Bush expanded our goverment. lmao 8. If you don't believe in global warming you truly are nuts.
I've been middle of the road, tending more to the left than right all my life w/ a strong bent toward fiscal responsibility. This administration blew fiscal responsibility out the window. On top of that it is a sort of renegade group of dictatorial people that add a huge level of secrecy on top of that and governing incompetence. I think the Bush administration has rolled the US into lots of long term problems. Most current republicans keep defending a large element of current policies. As with singular democratic administrations in the past the tide has turned and there needs to be a dramatic balance to undue so many of the Bush administration excesses. And on top of that we have a war that is being fought on fake principals and is probably weakening America. Well written, ganpat.
You could vote for a candidate who actually wants to shrink the enormous girth of our government, and in turn tax raises become unnecessary. I want a candidate who realizes that both his people and the people on the other side of the fence are almost equally responsible for the growth of our federal budget, and doesn't focus so much on the blame game, but rather on how to fix the problem. This candidate would realize the folly that is the Iraq war, and move for a real withdrawal, not a shorthanded promise to maybe get them out by 2013. Such a candidate would respect immigration's importance to our culture and history, but also realize we need a complete reform of immigration laws so it doesn't take a decade to earn your citizenship, and a concentration on protecting our border from the dangerous people who want to enter our country to inflict harm. Overall, this candidate would realize the importance of our Constitution, and how necessary it is that our government value liberty and individual freedom and responsibility rather than making a nanny state or taking away more and more rights in the name of temporary safety. If only there was such a candidate...
I normally vote Democrat and have never hated the Republicans until the people in my original post came along. However, I do like Ron Paul. This guy has some interesting thoughts on how to run the country. However, i'd still vote Democrat just to rub it into Ann Coulter's face. I hate her.
I'm not going to argue with you on other points, as I'm not concerned. But these points you got totally wrong.. If you want to make anything worthless, Socialize it. Yepp countries are practicing socialized meds. But LMAO, if you need to get yourself prescribed, wait for 3 days in queue.... Global Warming.. Yeah right, It's all business... Carbon Credits and bullshit. This is just the same scare tactics, Al Gore style....
SSANDECKI did a nice job of articulating responses to these points. Lets look at #7. An even larger government. This is the great myth of current republicans. There used to be truth to this. What was once a reasonable argument was utterly turned upside down and backwards by the Bush administration and the Republican Congress. In fact the cost of government grew 100% larger during fiscal years 2001 -2006 versus the Clinton years from fy 1993-fy2001. 100% larger. Bush grew the government 100% larger than did Clinton. That is outrageous. In FY 1993 federal outlays were a total of (in millions) $1,409,033. By fy2001 (8 years later) total outlays were $1,863,033 By fy2006 federal outlays werr $2,655,435. During the effective budget years corresponding to the Clinton term federal budget expenses grew by an average of 4%/year. During the first 5 years of the Bush Administration govt expenditures grew by an average of over 8%/year. That is Twice as high. PORK. That topic everybody likes to complain about. Republicans like to claim cut out waste and that will solve everything. I researched it hard and posted it at DP. Basically between the mid 90's and the current period Pork or congressional special earmarks exploded from under 4200 to over 14,000 earmarks by 2004. The costs went haywire. It grew the dickens out of the government. That all occurred during periods when Republicans controlled Congress. The facts point to an amazing reversal of the way traditional republican small govt values used to dominate the Republican party. Wise up. Look at the facts. If you like big govt, if you like govt spending going out of control vote for republicans. If you like people saying one thing and doing something different watch President Bush when he talks about spending and controlling costs. You want to know when he is not being honest ...or when he is lying about the facts when he talks about spending, controlling the size of the govt? It happens when he opens his mouth. Will the current people running for office on the Republican side reverse this trend? I doubt it. Not one of them speaks to the facts. Look it up. btw, where do these FACTS come from? From the Bush budget document for fy 2008; http://www.whitehouse.gov/omb/budget/fy2008/ Look it up. Go to the historical tables. Compare periods. Quit complaining, quit pointing the finger, quit labeling other people. Do the research.
