To your first point,thats not even close to what I think, I believe Iran will take more political or economic approaches against the US and that any escalation in this conflict to actual physical violence will be started by the US. Though truthfully I dont see the US attacking offensively, the backlash from all Irans allies would be too great. So the only way in my eyes for an actual war to take place is if Iran attacked offensive first.

To your second point,that still proves my point.The people who depend on the flow of oil for there profit, are capable of building an alternate route that will bypass the strait and building it in a limited amount of time.

I agree with your third point though in an Iran vs. Iraq war there wont be a winner everyone will lose.

 

In one context, this part is 100% correct, and we (the US) would obviously be creating WW3. Not something you would expect from our leaders.

• The 'context' I refer to involves the assumption our most powerful leaders are sane.
