I wanted to share this interesting blog post with DP folks http://tycoonreport.tycoonresearch.com/articles/525931345/?cmpid=OFFP
Within the first 6 paragraphs I realized the writer must be quite young or grossly ignorant. Please don't take it wrong if you are the writer. First, the towel man is an old idea that seems to be coming back more. Some places always had the guy there, so it isn't anything new. The drug companies and the FDA, I don't really want to open a can of worms here, but it can't be a legal drug unless it can cause harm. Look up LD50. The writer sounds like he thinks we should change things so we won't get attacked. hmmmm
I found this post quite interesting because any attack on capitalism in the US will get you labeled 'communist' or 'left wing'/ 'far left', even if you are a brilliant hedge fund manager or Wall Street investment banker.
Debunked made it farther than me. I object to the first sentence. ~~~~~~~~~~~ Statement "I decided that I had to write this article because capitalism in the U.S. has become so annoying that I need to vent" Fact: America has some truly 'perverted' form of CommuSocalismOligarchyNeoFascism America does not have a true Capitalist economy or political system. If you disagree, then you just might be some form of a CommuSocalistOligarchNeoFascist capitalism: An economic system characterized by private or corporate ownership of capital goods, by investments that are determined by private decision, and by prices, production, and the distribution of goods that are determined mainly by competition in a free market. ~~ By definition, no well educated person can claim America is Capitalist, with a free market. Capitalism often gets blamed for our leaders mistakes.
Most of the things that the article talks about has nothing to do with capitalism. Money or greed does not equal capitalism; they can exist in any economic system.
Vast subject, but 'fanatics' believe greed is the main engine behind modern capitalism in the US. http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&safe=off&q=Is+greed+good&btnG=Search The article had something to do with made in USA capitalism. http://money.propeller.com/story/2007/10/23/is-greed-good IS Greed Good? Sorry, i didn't want to initiate a debate, just trying to explain what the article was all about
Made in the USA capitalism is a combination of poorly enforced property rights, the totally immoral "citizenship" of corporations, over regulation and subsidies.
The correct word for this would be Corporatism, or like I said before 'CommuSocalismOligarchyNeoFascism' The USA does not have Capitalism. Our socialist schools teach you otherwise
The USA is not a capitalist country it is imperialist country. Imperialism is the highest stage of capitalism. Capitalism can be form by only exploitation and plunder of worker and imperialism by war and killed by people.
That is funny. I'm glad politics isn't always about bad news and war. ~~~~~~ ps. Don't you know the death rays will be shot through the thin metal (security) strips in every $1, 5, 10, 20, and $100 bill. Fun Fact? Don't count on stashing big piles of cash, they can 'see' (detect) the metal (security) strips from many miles away.
For a person who supposedly runs a Hedge Fund he sure as hell doesn’t understand what Capitalism means. A lot of his issues he has are with human behavior in a capitalistic society The tip jars have nothing to do with capitalism and everything to do with ensuring proper service and if you don’t want to tip them don’t. This country was born from entrepreneurship, the reason we went to war with England wasn’t for freedom as much as it was that business didn’t want to pay the taxes that the citizens of England were paying but demanded the same level of services in terms of military protection. Business will always have power in government. That’s how life is. Look at how many people die waiting for drugs to get approved by the FDA. Over 50,000 people die a year in car accidents does that mean we should outlaw automobiles because GM has some say on Capital Hill. As for oil companies getting tax credit the oil companies didn’t ask for them congress gave them and as for doing what Brazil did, they have 1/10 of the cars on the road as we do. It would require removing 90% of the cars on the road.
